Hawkes Bay won't beat the Bay though. Forget it.

The All Blacks have to just put Ireland away tonight, my heart can't handle another backwards and forwards like that!

    What crazily good game...!

Every now and again again I lose faith in rugby with red cards, referees, etc, but then I remember last years NPC final, and I will remember this match. Owesome.

    NPC is just great sport.

Full credit to the official from the HBRFU that insisted the team play within themselves to ensure scores were level after 80 minutes to give the loyal people that pay their money at the gate even more value for money for their admittance money today!!!!!!!!!

@Nepia My night has had to be rearranged as there is not enough time to get to Westpac Trust Stadium to do my best to discourage Wellington tonight!

It has been a good day for Hawke's Bay. Both our men's and women's team through to the Championship Final. Whatever the results next week, we've already improved from last year in both competitions.

Discourage Wellington? They're play Canterbury, even I'll support them tonight.

@Stargazer what was the score in the womens game?

Not sure a semi final spot was entirely expected for our girls

@Nepia I am a died in the wool HB supporter and there is no way I can ever bring myself to support the Wellington rugby team against any other NZ team. Discouraging then is quite different from actually supporting their opponents

    @taniwharugby 46 - 31 to the Tui.

    Northland played well, particularly Subritzky-Nafatali.

Maybe a SF spot wasn't expected because it was their first year, but looking at the players in the Northland squad, I'm not really surprised. I still think Subritzky is the best 10 in NZ (better than Demant).

You guys coulda cruised it by 30 if you'd recanted.

To be fair, you're lucky I got distracted, because every time I was watching Otago was scoring! 🙂

I will take them over Canterbury, but it's a bit of a sophies choice because if Wellington win I think @Chris-B's invitational XV wins and does anyone really want that (aside from Chris and TJ).

I like to make a game of it for the neutrals.

@Stargazer the schoolgirl winger, Savannah Bodman is a real talent, played rep soccer and won National Judo and Jiu Jistsu medals as well.

@taniwharugby Yep, I posted in our HB rep rugby thread that she and Subritzky were the stand-outs for Northland today.
