Nice, this clown could have died back in 2007 but but Blair Milliband etc wimped out
The SAS planned to assassinate Iranian military chief Qassim Soleimani during the Iraq War but were stopped by a personal intervention from Labour foreign secretary David Miliband.
The Daily Telegraph has learnt that British special forces were ready to kill Soleimani in 2007 when he was identified as the man running the campaign against UK troops in the southern port city of Basra.
The SAS had him in their “crosshairs”, sources said, but Mr Miliband called off the operation, meaning Soleimani survived until he was killed on Friday morning in a US drone strike.

@jegga The fuck?
Can only assume Rose McGowan's demonstrating how to use intersectionality wisely.
Showing your hatred of Trump and the US earns way more brownie points than speaking out about people being executed in Iran for being gay.

Either McGowan's taking the piss or lives in a parallel universe.
On second thoughts, probably both
I reckon a lot of these celebrity types live in a warped universe

I am willing to admit I have no idea what to make of all of this.
The fcacts I can see are
1/ He was am evil piston wristed gibbon.
2/ He is dead.
3/ Iran is pissed.
4/ He was a key and vital cog that will be massively missed by the Islamic Republic
5/ Iran is the only country in the world that has expansion of ideology to the world as part of its constitution. This ass had that as his mission.Other than that facts are sparse . Apparently he was overseeing the planning of a major attack on US assets.
I have travekked to Iran and visited ir for awhile, the people of Iran are lovely and pretty damn peaceful, the scars of the Iran/Iraq war run deeper than we could imagine, alot of angst towards the west springs from that, but I wouldnt describe the 'normal' Iranian as being hateful towards the west at all.
I thin the US has no place in the middle east, and should just get the fuck out, but Iran govt govt are not who you want to hand it over to. I think on balance Trump made the right call IF Iran really were about to escalate.
Best case scenario now is for there to be a deescalation, followed up by the Iraq govt telling the US forces to leave, Trump gives a speech basically saying 'so be it, we dont stay if we are not wanted', and then the US leaves Iraq.
Second best is an escalation from Iran that makes the US bomb the shit out of Iran and make them realise that things have actually changed and Trump is not an appeasing groveller like Obama.
Then Iraq tells the US to get the fuck out etc etc -
Think the problem is that Iran (& probbly Russia) have seen 8 years of a weak, ineffective President in Obama, who effectively withdrew the US from the world and allowed them to fill the vacuum, and a President in Trump who openly wanted to disengage from the Middle East.
There seems bugger-all sensible analysis on why Trump has done this, (much of the comment seems infected with TDS) but from what I've read it's possible that Trump wants or wanted to do a deal with Iran but they interpreted that as weakness and pushed too far. It's almost as if he's running a version of "talk softly but carry a big stick".
Three things would worry me if I were an Iranian mullah or general.
-
The US was able to track and kill a senior Iranian General seemingly at will
-
Despite his bombast, Trump's record isn't that of throwing the US military might around haphazardly. unless he means business
-
The Iranian economy is in the shitter due to Trump's sanctions and Trump is likely to ratchet up the military and economic pressure if Iran retaliates or doesn't change course. Will this weaken the Iranian regime domestically?
We live in interesting times....

I realise that’s satire but it could just as easily be in the Atlantic Vox or Slate and no one would notice the difference.

Satire is the Democrat Senator complaining that Trump didn't publicly inform Congress he planned to kill Soleimani.

Canada seems to have incredibly high number of cucks per head of population .
This isn't a new thing either, the current pms stepdad was pretty similar to Justin when he was in charge.
Stepdad?
