Bryce Hegarty, Jock Campbell, Jordan Petaia, James O’Connor, Henry Speight, Isaac Lucas, Tate McDermott, Harry Wilson, Liam Wright (c), Angus Scott-Young, Lukhan Salakaia-Loto, Angus Blyth, Taniela Tupou, Brandon Paenga-Amosa, JP Smith

Reserves: Alex Mafi, Dane Zander, Feao Fotuaika, Izack Rodda, Seru Uru, Moses Sorovi, Hamish Stewart, Hunter Paisami

    Petaia/O'Connor midfield could be good

    Rodda not starting?

Brumbies have a front row, a couple of loosies and a couple of backs. No options except rookies at 10 and no depth at 9.

They will get wins from their tight 5 bullying some teams but that looks like their only option.

I'm picking the Reds to not be bullied and be a bit better across the park.

Both got solid starting 15s but the benches look inexperienced. Also going to be interesting seeing how Lolesio goes, massive opportunities for that 10 Wallabies jersey.....

You could say that about every Australian team. Except the Rebels, who have a 10 but no front row.

I'll be surprised if this fixture goes ahead. Weather conditions will be arse achingly hot, a total fire ban for a number of days and a fire just over the hills to the South.

State of Emergency in ACT and I have just seen a post where all Senior and Junior Cricket has been cancelled for the weekend.
Brumbies still tweeting away. Looks like it's still on.

@Crucial from what i've heard the wind direction is a positive for the rugby - wind coming from the north fires are more towards the south (stadium in the north)

Yeah, the current threat is closest to Tuggeranong and outer suburbs, but being there in the 2003 fires gives me no confidence at all that the current 'all under control' messages carry much weight.
In '03 people were told it was all cool until they left the midday movies and realised that their houses were on fire.

The Stadium is a fair way from that area but if that fire jumps the Murrumbidgee the Tuggeranong Parkway will shut. I doubt there will be much of a crowd attending from South Canberra.

Besides that if the wind changes they will be playing in smoke and burning gum leaves.

Hope all is safe and sound for you Canberrans @ACT-Crusader and @antipodean

Correct. Wind is blowing away(ish) from Canberra and the air quality is pretty damn good considering. 20,000 hectares burnt, currently out of control at "Emergency Level", but no impact on the game.

Haven't seen the first half, but not impressed thus far in the 2nd half. Lots of headless chook rugby.

    Good try from Tom Wright.

Reds might have the worst halves pairing in SR.

    @ACT-Crusader

Those pair of clowns are awful for the Blues

Wait till you see Sunwolves pairing of......

    Rudy Paige & Garth April

Two saffer Journeymen playing for a "Japanese" franchise in SR I hope Sunwlves get battered every weekend

I don't get this. Why would you want that? Because they have journeymen in their team? Or has been's? Or players that haven't been picked up by another SR side (yet)? It sounds like you resent them for some reason. Because they are a failed experiment?

I'd like them to be as competitive as possible with their limited squad, so at least their games are watchable. They have a remarkably loyal crowd that deserves entertaining games (even if they lose often) in the final year of this franchise's existence.
