Well afterwards I could kind of see it but I've never thought of him as Gay. I must have a terrible gaydar.
I'm very happy for him though, but can't imagine what it must feel like for his wife unless she's known for a very long time and maybe havent been living as husband and wife behind closed doors. Whatever suits them.

For me it was a surprise when he came out

As married! I don't follow entertainment media stuff so just always assumed he was gay. His wife and kids were the shock

I knew he was gay. He has sat opposite Hilly Wallaby for years and never once glanced at her chest. No straight man could exercise that much self control.

Ahh, gay celebrities. Vehemently proclaim it's normal in society ( which it is now) and simultaneously point it out at every opportunity and treat it as a special superpower

But you were born that way right? It's not your choice, no?

So we revere someone on how they were born, not their behaviour.

We'll, his behaviour was to con his wife for 27 years who, when reading how stunning and brave he is, must think "we'll that's lovely , I've been in a scam marriage where my husband loves me like I'm his sister - and he's the hero, and I'm the support! I wonder what marriage is like when your spouse doesn't intentionally lie to you everyday?"

Philip is the selfish coward, Steph is the selfless victim, and the ideology tells us to look up to Philip as an example of virtue.

@Crazy-Horse has there been anything to say she was blindsided and/or stunned by his revelation?

Maybe early on she wasn't aware, but surely after sometime it was all about keeping up appearances?

I haven't read anything about it to be honest. But I find it hard to believe his wife would have been blindsided by this.

@Siam yeah what a load of shit eh. Shits me to tears.

HUGE NEWS! Going on like it's an illness or something and he's the only one in the world to have it. He's so special and brave...for being fucken normal. Morans.

Kind of sickening really. You're gay mate. No one cares, it's just the way you are and it's not the most awful thing in the world despite you treating it that way. Surely the big hoo-ha Phillip and co made about this has got to be more damaging to young people than just handling it like a normal everyday thing?

@jegga it's good that he doesn't have to hide his lisp and talk in a slightly posh accent anymore though.
