    and

That list reminded me of Se7en, cracking movie. Another goodie not mentioned (I think) is Usual Suspects (I'm boobooing, haven't searched for it)

A movie you want to wipe your brain so you can rewatch and figure it out again.

I re-watch both occasionally, but the impact of the plot twist and story-line development has obviously diminished. For me Fight Club doesn't suffer from this as much. The quality of the movie extends well beyond the schizophrenia.

Also, the screenplay is better than the book.

The author of fight club was on Joe Rogan . He told a story about being to only guy at a writers group , they didn’t mind him being there till he got up and read a short story he wrote that had a graphic description of the main character rooting a blow up doll that sprung a leak and he was trying frantically to complete the deal in the thing before it completely deflated. They asked him to leave after that.

Not surprised given some of the fucked up shit in Fight Club... “haven’t been fucked like that since grade school”.. comes to mind..

Princess Bride, probably all time fave
Always watch Shawshank when I am scanning channels and it is on, regardless of where in movie it is
Point Break also a top 5 contender (not to be confused with a movie made recently with same name) probably seen this more than nay other movie too
    Happy GIlmore, love it!

Depending on mood, I reckon I could swap out another dozen or so movies into/out of my top 10.

I've never seen The Princess Bride.

    Inconceivable.

    Someone had to

Stephen King wrote and directed Maximum overdrive and it’s terrible, not so bad it’s good , just shit .

That was just an excuse to use AC/DC for the soundtrack.

I was planning to do a Don Draper and sneak out and watch this today, but it’s not playing at the cinema in the city.

The Italian Job - the 2013 version

How does Marky Mark get acting gigs? Pinocchio has more range and ability than that midget.

    Also the script is terrible.

I guess people find him charismatic enough to keep going to see his stuff. I guess he's like other limited actors that if you like them you'll keep watching them. I think I like a bunch of his stuff, but I certainly don't see them for his acting chops.

I think his brother is a better actor than he is but isn't a huge star (and I assume is an anti-vaxxer nut like his missus).

Italian Job was the one where Edward Norton was contractually obliged to be in it so I think he tried to act at a level lower than Marky Marks even.

The only people who think he has charisma have type two diabetes and weigh more than a small car.

On any list of characteristics, he's way down the list. There are better action actors, short actors, charismatic actors, etc. He must have a production company that buys heaps of scripts.

Charlize is in it so I can watch it.

I've stood on these steps in the Palazzo Madama in Turin (from the original movie).

Don't need a lot of range for the characters he plays. Being an everyman, boofhead type works for him.

    I've seen worse actors.

Like the literature professor in The Gambler?

    I've seen worse actors.

So have I, but I don't expect much from a school revue.
