    The Lindisfarne Factory:
Hard to get into the back three

    Timu Fullback
    Dagg Wing
    Mason Emerson - Wing
    Bridge - Center
    2nd 5 - Mick Duncan (2 Tests 1971)
    Tiaan Falcon - 1st 5
Half Back - Hamish Natush (can't spell his name pretty sure he made NZ 17's or NZ schools before breaking his neck)
    Taine Randell - 8
    Hugh Renton - 7
    Sam Goodwin - 6
    I will reluctantly cover 5
    Parsons - 4
    Campbell Johnstone - Prop
    Tim Cadwallader (Hooker)
    Eddie Coombs - Prop

    Reserves: Richard Kineer 1st 5

Without digging into the past records for NPC players.

    Hamilton BHS

15 Jared Payne (Ireland)/Jack Tuck (NZ)/Daryl Halligan (RL)
    14 Sean Maitland (Scotland)/Henry Speight (Aust)/Declan O'Donnell (SR)
13 Scott McLeod (NZ)/Bert Cooke (NZ)/Save Tukola (SR)
    12 Lachie Cameron (NZ)/Rhys Ellison (NZM)/Dwayne Sweeney (NZM)/Jackson Willison (NZM)/Quinn Tupaea (SR)/Orbyn Leger (SR)
11 Sevu Reece (NZ)/Emoni Narawa (SR)
10 Bryn Gatland (SR)/Trent Renata (SR)
    9 Tawera Kerr-Barlow (NZ)/Kevin Greene (NZ)
8 Warren Gatland (NZ)/Jahrome Brown (SR Brumbies)
    7 Hugh Blake (Scotland)
    6 Tom Coventry (NPC)
5 Tiwini Hemi (NZM)/Josh Lord (SR)
    4 Richard Coventry (SR)
    3 ???
2 Ron Hemi (NZ)/Aled de Malmanche (NZ)
1 Toby Smith (Aust)/Ayden Johnstone (SR)/Fraser Armstrong (SR)

I have selected Gats at no.8 as that is where he played schoolboy rugby.

Plenty of depth in the outside backs but lacking in some positions in the forwards.

@Nepia Tivani Fomai would slide in there somewhere surely. Magpies/Samoa and also responsible for the hardest I've ever been tackled in my life.
Rosenberg might get a mention. And Alex Tulou has been playing in France for the last decade in the Top League and was at one stage in the French wider training squad.

Im only just hearing about Corona Virus now because he tackled me so hard at school he knocked me back a few months in time.

@Magpie_in_aus Alex Tulou was the one I couldn’t think of his name. Rosenberg didn’t really kick on.

Imagine how much better this team would have been without Lindersfarne and it’s chequebook pinching he likes of Randell and Dagg. 😏

@Nepia Taine lived closer to Te Aute....
Dagg wouldn't have made it past 5th form if he went to HBHS....although he probably could have joined the 'sports academy' and done 4th-year 5th form with a few of the others.

Anyway, both were academics (well in Taines case he actually was) and only found out they had sporting talent once it was nurtured at the farne'.

Taine was from Flaxmere, which is not closer to TA and he definitely went to Lindersfarne on a sporting scholarship (along with Christian Makarere at the same time).

    Yep on Gordon Falcon.

@JK Yeah Barry went to Rosmini, as did Boric.

Michael Little in the midfield? Mike Harris is another of our 10s.

If you are including Rosmini alumni then add Larsen, Wulf and G Dowd.

@Bovidae Didn't Tom Coventry play for the Crusaders in 1996? You could bump him up from NPC to SR, maybe.

Come on, can't you put this rag-tag mob of no-hopers into a XV?? 🙂

@shark I thought he might have played for the Chiefs too, but couldn't find any definitive proof. Deon Muir did play for the Crusaders in 1996.

Edit: It looks like Coventry's provincial career ended before SR started.
