Peachs hot chicken
I'm intrigued.
It made it to the food porn thread (or whatever it's called). nashville hot chicken. Seriously hot.
Fuck that looks goooood!!!
-
@voodoo it bloody was. I'm hankering for some for lunch, but fear I may be addicted. It's really really good chicken.
This is what I had last night - the baller burger. Excuse the watermark from insta (edit: scraped from their account, what it looks like)

@nzzp you're "insta'ing" your food these days?
hell no. I'm getting a real picture off insta because I couldnt' see one on their website.
My T-shirt says 'the Fern is my social media'.
seroiusly. I don't use facebook, twitter, insta, snap, etc ... basically I don't need to date in the modern world, so happy living in my own little bubble of reality.

@nzzp yeah same here. I sometimes scroll FB or Twitter, but never ever post anything. Strava and TSF would be the only place I'd post something. It's partly laziness, and partly that I just have nothing interesting to say 😬

@MN5 and to continue hijacking the thread, I've been making yeast vitality starters in the last nfew months, and it's gone to another level. Pitched loads of healthy active yeast, and ferments happen in a few days. Pitched yesterday afternoon and had a massive massive krausen this morning.
Brewing's great fun. Did I mention I have three kegs on tap at once?
Also, this is a major impediment to staying fit. The first year I had beer on tap I put on 10kg. It was totally worth it, but it's not great for your health

Once things are all back to normal the other half and I are going to Occasional Brewer to whip up some IPA. Always great fun !

Program im following said yesterday was 2x5k with 10 min break.
Only had 8 min break as I was sweaty and it made me feel cold so lungs felt ok so just started back up before the old bones started seizing.
first 5k: 22.45
2nd 5k: 25 mins -
Didn't want to go for a run yesterday. Motivation was nil trying to just get ks on the legs doing timed intervals. Actually went pretty well and managed to exchange a smile with the best looking specimen I've seen yet on the route. Funny how some runs just feel good, if not effortless.

I'll head out at about 6am tomorrow and i expect a fresh 16 degrees
-
@mariner4life it was about a year ago when I headed to qld (and Moree) for 6 weeks work. Wandering around sweating in my t-shirt and boardies staring in wonder at people wearing wooly jerseys and trenchcoats.
Had to piss myself laughing at the people I was working with in SC horrified at their 14 degree cold snap.

Damm looks like my gym has suffered the covid and is looking for a new location.
Membership is on hold til then so might pick up a cheap flexi type membership for jetts or something in the meantime. Although can't imagine the gym will be great anyway under level 2 so may just keep to the running and riding for a bit longer

Chin ups, calisthenics, plyometrics and tyre flips ( often one lying round somewhere ) are always free. Suits my Scottish heritage and the fact I travel quite a bit for work.
