Warriors were really poor in that final.
Couldn't find any space, nor hold onto the ball.

Considering that the Warriors nearly missed the playoff section I'm pleased with their first hit out of 2016. SJ looks back on track and no injuries which is the main thing.

Don't worry about RTS. He's a fullback. In the Nines he was playing in the front line. Given his normal time/space at the back and he'll be fine

Bloody typical Warriors season, clamped down into a couple of days. They looked awesome against the Titans, but clueless, toothless and shite against the Eels. That final was a bit embarrassing.

Big ups to Daryl Halligan. For an old dude, he's still got the chops, showed up Thurston, Johns easily. Spencer was shite, I blame that hideous goatee. As for Mal, I worried for those jeans.

Ha. That's funny. I only found out too late there was a market for this. He opened as an outsider $13. Within minutes he was chopped into 4:50 and Thurston was favourite. Wish I had the bet

I see in the Sydney press this morning there's a report that last season 13 of the 16 NRL clubs ran an operational loss, combined operational losses of over A$42 million.

Warriors, Broncos and Souths the only teams to turn an operational profit.

There seems to be blame attributed to non-player costs blowout.

http://www.stuff.co.nz/sport/league/76726817/warriors-a-shining-light-as-nrl-audit-reveals-clubs-lost-455m-last-year

Not surprised Parramatta is the worst performing club. Those poor bastards are still paying out contracts for players who won them the wooden spoon several years ago.

And $50,000 to Hayne.

Penrith also posted a substantial loss presumably related to the costs of feeding Phil Gould's tremendous ego.

Yep, presumably as a good will gesture for when he inevitably returns. Does not count against the cap I believe.

World team defeats the Indigenous team 12-8 at Suncorp Stadium. More importantly Konrad looked good and even grabbed a try for the World team.

Nah, not to me at least. He never enjoyed the aspects which came with the role (media, promotions) and Ryan Hoffman was the de facto captain already.

Hoffman will make a good captain , I reckon ,

Pretty smart level headed guy , and he seems to enjoy the media stuff that will come with it

A week until the greatest game of all starts up again and Kevin Locke opens up about his suicide attempts. Heard chatter of this through out the years but sad to see it was a reality. Can't believe he is only 26 years old. Hopefully he can rebuild a career in league or union.
