@mariner4life get on to Panhead Supercharger from uncle Dan's. Better than Tuatara APA(bit of an OG beer now and there easily better NZ beers we can get in OZ now.
If you can get it try some Deek Creek. It's been turning up in Dan Murphys regularly. As has Good George in Squealer sized bottles.
If you drink those side by side it's astonishing how much better the former is. It could be argued the Tuatara Pilsners are better than Panheads though.
The Panhead guy used to be head brewer at Tuatara before he went out on his own. I guess he would have had to change some recipes that he would have quite liked and had left behind.
Well given the opportunity to make a XPA, he did a good job.
From awhile ago, but Panhead XPA is my standard everyday drink, awesome
it was mine too for a while...and the i moved a few hundred meters away from the Colonial Brewery...can beat local
My local is McLeod's which rocks (I'm a McLeod) but it is very expensive and hard to get a hold of... and 45 odd mins drive away
Apparently they have a Pilsner with Kaitaia Fire added !

That said, I drank some Garage Project Sep20 hazy fresh from their taproom in Auckland. Honestly one of the finest beers I have drunk - it just nailed the style perfectly.
I've reassessed my breweries recently, and predicated on drinking fresh good beer from their taps (as opposed to bottled/canned), would go with
- Liberty
- Bach
- Garage Project
- Epic
- McLeods
- Deep Creek
I have changed my mind on Epic. They delivered riggers of great, well brewed beer over lockdown 1+2, and it has knocked the numerous piles of 'meh' beer I have had from them over the last few years.
I also have a massive soft spot for Emersons Pilsner - it was one of my gateway beers. -

BoneFace is one I"ve had the odd beer from, but hasn't rustled mah jimmies.
Really style dependent; a few years ago my partner and I spent a year drinking two new beers a week as a new years resolution. At the end we'd drunk a shedload of good beer, but figured out we liked a narrow-ish range of IPA/IIPA/hazy (which were only starting then), and good hoppy pilsners. Sours, darks, brown ales, super clean lagers - all nice, but didn't really float our boats.
I suspect our list above reflects that

I've just moved to Wellington, and yeah - I definitely need to give the GP taproom a shot (living a 15 minute walk away).
I've already ticked off the Tasting Room, Malthouse, LittleBeerQuarter, Fortune Favors, ParrotDog, Whistling Sisters, Rogue&Vagabond, Fork&Brewer.
I've tended to avoid GP's more experimental shit recently, having fallen into the trap of knowing what is "tried and true", and not wanting to buy takeaways that might be shit when I get home, leaving me forced into drinking filth at best, semi-sober at worst. But sitting in a taproom, I'd probably be more willing to give anything (or rather, everything) a shot. -

You've tried a few goodies by the looks, I found Whistling Sisters a bit souless and lacking atmosphere but the rest all have their charms and then some.
Give Panhead on Tory Street and Southern X a hoon as well.
