i'd post the stop motion vid i have of the build but dont have privileges or something, twas my first lockdown porject
Thatโs an expensive set, the newer one rrp is $1500 but that 2007 version can go up to $6k sealed.
I have a bit of a problem when it comes to SW LEGO..this was actually first edition, certificate and all, we were living in london when the wife bought it in 2007 so things felt cheaper, think it was about 400 pounds at the time.
made it once back then...but then when we moved from auckland to chch the movers were supposed to build a box for it...when it arrived they'd just wrapped it in brown paper, i was too dishearten to have another so i bought a big plastic bin and stuck it all in there...until lockdown, finally got around to sitting down and dissembling it...organising all the parts into separate bags etc...and then rebuilding...and then found the instructions for the stand so ordered those parts and made that
i think i only had three parts missing and two broken, none critical
I had a mishap with a shelf a month or 2 back, few sets ended up in a heap on the floor. Since replaced and rebuilt but the Falcon (2017 version) is still out in the Garage looking like the scene in Solo after it completed the Kessel run..
lessons i learnt with the rebuild
A ) organising as i disassembled was 100% worth it
B ) it took no where near as long the second time as the first, largely down to the organising, a week of evenings and it was builtdid you have a Efferman stand for it? i always struggled to find a way to store in as its just so wide, stand was a lifesaver
Nah didnโt have the room for that, was displayed flat on a shelf, I joined 2 shelves together. They were fine, it was the one above that failed...๐
this gives a better view, and a nice sport for the razor crest next to it...wife can move her candle
Itโs the least she can do really

Just get a bigger bookcase (shift that ugly framed poofball shirt) and get the Imperial Star Destroyer

@Crucial no need for the name calling just because football is beyond your comprehension
I like football for the tribalism as much as anything, way past anything rugby can manage
i like ones minfigure scale....i'd need a new house if they do a star destroyer that scale!

Poofball on a SW thread is surely worthy of a ban
