All the T20 games doesn't make me want to sign up to Spark Sport.

Interesting. Expecting crowds with all those T20s? I'm assuming we'll be getting few hundred max allowed in if Auckland gives up on re-elimination.

Would be curious to see how the crowd-less economics are planned? What's the worth of each format and how much they cost to put on.

This was the most significant cricket news I've seen recently!

I'll be interested to see who they sign as commentators.

Crowd restrictions won't effect Test cricket at least so that's a bonus.

    digging up an old thread.

    Sport!

But, Australia visits for (groan) 5 T20. FFS. ODI are far superior. Still, given I feel sport starved right now, I'll take anything at all.

Will also make a real effort to get out to the White Ferns as well

It's Australia's turn to host the Blackcaps in the Chappell-Hadlee this summer. Hence NZC hosts a T20 series.

    Watching NZ AUS Women's T20.

Australia are good at cricket. They are very good fielders. We are not going to win, despite a sound bowling performance.

The reverse jinx works my friends, NZ get up and win by 5 wickets. Fantastic knock from Satterthwaite and Martin getting us right back into it before Amelia Kerr won it for us. Great to see live cricket, even better to see NZ winning 🙂

... and thumped yesterday. Well played Australia, it's what playing NZ in Rugby must feel like - so hard to beat, and a production line of quality players.

In other news, SA Cricket has corruption. I'm astonished, genuinely astonished, that someone who tried to ban journalists from attending cricket grounds may be up to no good.

Exactly - hoping that the few world class players that NZ has can produce the big performance to snatch a win. And Australia without Ellyse Perry who is probably the best player in the world and who also played international football.

@Bovidae He seems like one of those players who was very much better than his stats suggest. World Class during his era - might be NZ's equivalent to Ian Botham?

@Chris-B And suffered a bit trying to carry a team when he had to bat, bowl, captain with very few outstanding individuals around him (bar Sutcliffe). Some of the stories of his hitting power show he would have been well suited to the demands of the modern game.

@KiwiPie I always got the impression that those who had seen Reid play pretty much scorned those who hadn't and who would pick Chris Cairns in their Alltime NZ XIs ahead of him. 🙂
