Yeah, I think the Morey/China thing has passed. Now he just has to deal with another playoff exit...

    Playoff predictions and hopes?

I'm hoping for Lakers in 6, predicting Lakers in 7

The Dragon is a massive loss. Especially given Spoelstra really only plays 7 guys.

LA just brutalised Miami. After a slow start, the Lakers did what I expected them to do. Sure they got decent production from 3, but their defence and their size and strength wore Miami down. For two quarters LA took whatever they wanted offensively inside, totally dominated Miami's half court D. Bam looked beat up, Jimmy and Dragic too. Hero, Robinson, and the others found it harder to get shots off against that long LA D. I know its only G1 but they can smell blood in the water, guys like Howard AD and LBJ want this really bad, and are playing like it. MIA have to find something fast or this will be over quick

Apparently you can have steroid jabs and play through his injury. Fingers crossed.

Doc Rivers has signed a 5 year deal to be coach of the 76ers. That was quick, trading his old team for a more flawed team

Another comfortable win for LA. Looking like a sweep to the larger than life Lakers

I didn't even bother watching when I read both Adebayo and Dragic were ruled out.

Actually more competitive than Game 1

LA shot terribly from 3 in the 4th quarter. So many shots missed, MIA can't keep LA out of the paint or off the offensive boards. Could have easy been another blowout.

MIA will hope Bam comes back, he will have to face a resurgent Dwight Howard who will make him pay physically

Bam is back for game 3, but it's unlikely the Lakers shoot that badly again. This has sweep written all over it.

I agree. LA are too good at too many positions

The zone pressure from the Heat on the 3pt shot was better.

Unfortunately the Heat zone defence overall is not good without Bam. He’s at least going to put pressure on the rim and his long arms will make the interior passing more difficult.

They missed Bam massively, Dragic also. Hardly a surprise, Bam is going to be a superstar if he stays healthy.

Score was closer than the game felt.

AD was excellent, but anyone who buys into the "AD should be finals MVP" nonsense, knows precisely nothing about basketball

@ACT-Crusader I'm not sure the zone will remain effective. The Lakers got a stack of interior dunks running Lebron and AD low, and they missed a ton of open 3's (Green 🤦‍♂️) that you wouldn't want to bank on them missing again.

It feels like a cop out to me, a makeshift D that just hopes that the Lakers go cold from outside and stay cold.

Yeah Kelly O isn’t going to cut it. I thought starting Leonard to go with Dwight early was a good move. But once the Lakers go with “small” with AD at the 5 and LBJ and either Morris or Kuzma plus two guards, they are still bigger than the Heat and the zone isn’t going to win out. Switching Lebron and AD between the middle and baseline was excellent by Vogel.

@ACT-Crusader Yeah that switch was genius. They totally ruled down low in the very place Spoelstra was trying to hide his weakest defenders. The 3 pointers are great, but they should continue to batter away inside
