@dogmeat something along the lines of he went to the hospital and told them what drugs he wanted, they gave it to him and now he's better, the doctors call it a therapeutic but he think its a cure and because he feels better hes going to push it through and everyone should go and ask for it

@Winger What's he saying? - life's too short to wade through 5 minutes of hyperbole to get to the guts of it.
Trump used regeneon to treat Covid 19. It cured him almost immediately. Seems to be a drug of potential that could solve this close down the world due to Covid issue.
Trump will make this treatment available. For free in the US. Hope politics and TDS doesn't hinder research and uptake if it is a cure

Are you saying it should be released before it is properly researched?
100% effective on Orange seventy-somethings in extensive testing.

im also concerned with the allusions to it being a cure....is this why we're seeing more cases in the whitehouse, he thinks because his symptoms have eased he no longer has it cant cant spread it?

He is a master of spreading disinformation, and others will pay the price

@Winger the crucial phrase in your post is "if" it is a cure.
Regeneron has been a potential treatment for months but needs to go through the same rigorous testing as any other drug. A bit more rigorous than "old man says it works". Particularly when said old man has a number of reasons for being able to trumpet a cure in the next couple of weeks and possibly has other vested interests as well.

is there even the chance its a cure? or just a treatment for symptoms? is there a chance this thing actually kills the virus?

Supposed to boost immune response, so effectivley a cure with the body killing off the virus (not just masking symptoms). Trump was also taking another couple of drugs but is pushing this one...make of that what you will.

The same article said he had interests in the main companies to manufacture hydroquinone IIRC...

Was going to ask if he was prescribed hydoxychloroqiune. And if not why not?

A brief search suggests his interest in a French company that manufactures hydroxychloroquine consists of shares in a fund. So he has no direct control of the company

surely if you get a positive result at the start of the virus' life cycle (as opposed to having it for a week before a positive result) and access to top notch healthcare, would assist anyone to a quick recovery (assuming no lingering issues as some do)
Was talking to a mate in Prague this afternoon, sheesh, sounds pretty bad over there, numbers exploding, been in lockdown in one way or another for pretty much 7 months!

Mrs CF was talking to a colleague in Paris. They are very scared with Winter coming and covid19 spiking

Finally the WHO talking some sense. These constant lockdowns are having a devastating affect on the poorest people in the world, not to mention fucking the economy for decades to come.
