Should be fine as ref then.

Was the ball not out of the scrum there?

Well deserved Waikato , they stayed in the fight despite a shocker of a call, to be me it was still inconclusive that he has lost the ball, should have shown in real time as in slow motion..full credit to the visitors..

Luke Jacobson had a quiet start to the season, but he's really starting to find some form now.

@Steven-Harris Yeah just saw it, should have stayed a try. Still, they got there in the end.

How on earth did the tmo get to making the review on Messam try? Must have played it several times slo mo before the kick despite no hesitation from Stone. Replay looked like left hand stayed on the ball even if right possibly did not. Bizarre.

Waikato won that game twice! 🙂

The scrum has been a real positive in recent weeks, despite having a lightweight locking pair.

Thomson had a great game and is showing his experience but Osborne has been a waste of money. Show some urgency.

I did find the backline substitutions puzzling as I have no idea why Sullivan was subbed with Tupaea already off the field. The forwards did the business in the end while the backs become a little disjointed. Still, I'll take the 4 pts.

Would prefer Te Whare over Osborne currently. Hope Fletcher Smith back next week too. Thought Kautai and Iosefa Scott were great and Thompson and Finau also.

@Bovidae Patrick Osborne was playing as if he still wanted to play for Canterbury. Wasn't impressed by him at all tbh.

Yes. Te Whare hasn't been selected in recent weeks (injured?) but he is an aggressive runner. Wrampling would offer more on the wing too.

Hope Fletcher Smith back next week too.

The press release said "rested" so he might just have had a sore head. Reihana did OK taking the ball flat and kicked the goal that mattered. His first penalty attempt was a shocker though.

Thought Kautai and Iosefa Scott were great and Thompson and Finau also.

Josh has really stepped up since starting.

That was a peach of a last 20 mins from us. I was supposed to be at the game but decided to go down a couple of weeks earlier instead. Mates still went though and are still celebrating.
