    Surely.

And now Kane picks up a wicket.

One wicket to go, Southee will be licking his lips as he takes the new ball next over.

What a hiding, what a statement, what a team we have right now. World number ONE in tests, absolutely incredible all things considered.

As I said earlier in the season I expected us to account for WI and Pakistan at home, but we've just been completely dominant from start to finish.

We've got the talent and it's clear we have a great culture with Kane at the helm commanding the respect of his team and setting the standard. When players come into the side and immediately thrive it's a testament to the environment they have created.

Kane and KJ were amazing all season. Kane has well and truly cemented his spot as the premier test batsmen in the world right now, and the sky is the limit for KJ.

Exciting times as a cricket fan in NZ and these guys will be inspiring kids for generations to come. Loving it.

It's still difficult to get used to two sides turning up to our shores and we absolutely flogged them both in every test with consumate ease.

Coming to NZ to play test cricket is a very tough assignment for anyone these days.

    From Cricinfo:

Kane Williamson is Man of the Series

Kyle Jamieson is Man of the Match for his 11 wickets in the match:

Jamieson's 11/117 is NZ's 6th best bowling figures in a test match and the best in the current squad, with only Hadlee and Vettori having better figures for NZ. Boult and Southee both have taken 10, and Wagner 9.

Lost three of the four tosses too, so it's not like we are getting lucky with green tops on the first day.

I would love to have seen a return series (3 tests) in NZ after we got done in Aus. We would probably get beaten but I reckon we would have a shot if everyone was fit.

I wonder if he is the quickest to get a 10 wicket bag? Only took 7 matches? Or was that his 6th?

The thing that gets me is the old fern adage of the ‘Black Caps collapse’ is a thing of the past now. Whilst our openers are still a bit dicey ( although still miles better than anything since Bruce Edgar retired ) I have every faith that the rest of the specialist batsmen will contribute and even if they fuckup then BJ will put the anchor down. Kane is due a failure, when this happens I still reckon Rossco will remember his class and get a massive score.

As for our bowlers well they speak for themselves. A fine trio like Boult, Southee and Wags are chasing a big blond angry shadow. How good is that ?

Hats off BCs, you guys are the shit.

Yes, a few afternoon beers but I ensured I didn’t mess that up.
