Lockdown/Covid Check In

@R-L 👍

I cannot stop shaking and aching, tried to sleep now its worse. My whole face hurts, my face!!
This vaccine better work, any Covidiots out there should be given a dose so they experience the side effects alone, hopefully that would give them a tiny taste of what covid would be like.
Very grateful, not looking forward to the next dose, but very grateful. Just let me whinge a little.

My business partner, whose wife is a nurse, says there have been a lot of NHS staff off for 48 hours following jab. So just another day to get through...?
-
@pakman Really poorly organised to be fair, half our department had the vacc yest and most rang in sick or said they couldn't get in because of snow 🙄 and the rest of us sicked off early.
I fully expect I'll be fine tomorrow. Not hearing this with the Pfizer jab at all so far.

Anybody else going completely mad in lockdown? Case in point.
We use an app at work called Grip Converter (insert obligatory masturbation joke here). Anyway, every single time I open it, I always always sing out loudly .. 'I'll see you at Grip Converter".
Only kiwis will understand that.

What about when you open the app?

Jokers aren't jokes when they are handed to you on a plate fella.

At least I know you won't drop the plate with that grip.

Well, Mrs M is finally back home from Kent with parents safely installed in sheltered accommodation. Been a long 2 months but everything finally sorted, crises averted, Covid infections beaten and catastrophes faced and negotiated.
A couple of weeks recuperating and a few more in front of log fires with decent bottles of Shiraz and we will be near the end of lockdown, the crappy Jan and Feb weather will be over and life can get back to normal. A couple of nights at The Two Bridges on Dartmoor when they are open to look forward to.
Life is good.

Most excellent

@Victor-Meldrew Great. BTW did you see the Alex cartoon yesterday?
-
@Victor-Meldrew Good news mate. Pleased for you. Enjoy the Two Bridges when you finally get there. Not far from the Warren House Inn, not sure if you know it? Nice (very) basic pub, with a fire that has stayed alight since the late 19th century, if you believe the blurb. Every time I've been in there it has been on its last legs and judging by the lack of attention from all the staff I'd say the claim is highly unlikely. Still, a good pint at the highest pub in southern England.

Her heading to Kent seems to have coincided with the emergence of the new variant!

Haven't heard about the Warren Inn - will look it up. The walk back to the Two Bridges from Princetown with an immediate pint in the bar in front of the fire is one of life's highlights.

Any progress?
Scotland opening primary schools after half term, and Boris making noises about schools...
