Not a meme at all, but how true is this!
Never ceased to be amazed how you pass someone, going dreadfully slow, an hour or two ago, then you stop for a stretch and just after getting out of the car, the fluffybunny dawdles past you again! Rinse and repeat
doesnt it basically mean they were never going that slowly to start with, it just felt like it when you were behind, either that or there was a good reason for it and once n front you had the same issue

@kiwiwomble yes and i reckon it's more the futility of rushing. You bust a nut on the journey to be on time, only for slowcoach to show you that your extra effort (stress) makes fuck all of a difference in the long run π
Then again, a race is a race! (even if the others don't know they're in a race π)

It's not necessarily about making good time for me, it's the boredom of being stuck behind somebody and having their driving habits imposed on me. Remember when people would pull over and let you pass? That was one of the good things about living in NZ.

I still do that, especially when driving up the mountain at TC or Cardrona last year. And it did my nut in (irrationally I know) when the person I let pass didn't give me a wave or a beep for my efforts. Makes you not want to let the next bloke past!

I've noticed a lot of people on the Coromandel are really good at letting me past, and - surprisingly - a lot of people on the Rimutaka hill typically let me past.... and I always wave thanks (if it's safe to).
But then, a motorbike, I guess it's much more obvious that I've got genuine cause to not want to be travelling at your goddamn 40km hour around every hairpin. Also - less loss of face?Of course... then there's always the oblivious prick who decides they're going to pass the car in front on the passing lane... but only accelerating as they are in the passing-lane, and then staying in the passing lane because there's another car way up in front that the might be able to pass. And, any faith in humanity is lost, and all car-drivers are fucking idiots, and goddamn them all.
(Not to mention the oblivious prick the other week who decided to start indicating, and pull out to passing lane, at the exact same time... which coincidentally was the same time I was passing him. That got the heart-rate going.)

People whinging about driving on a Meme thread. I really wish someone would make a thread for general gripes about stuff, weβre all at that age after all.
Nah mate, that thread is full of grumpy old men. We don't belong there.
You not grumpy?
