Hideki has a shocker in his first two shots in the 13th ... but two lucky breaks and walks off with birdie.

    When it’s your day

Japan is going to go wild if he wins this.

Schauffele will be ruing that triple, was within a few inches of being a great shot.

Well done to Matsuyama though (kinda reminds me of when Campbell won his major, he just kept hitting the shots while others faltered around him)

    Happy for Matsuyama.

Bit of a fizzer of a day, the only real drama was the 15 minute period between Hideki dunking his second on 15, and Xander dunking his tee shot on 16.

That will haunt Xander, you feel like all he had to do was get it within 25 feet and the pressure would have been right on Hideki. But he really shat the bed, and all Hideki had to do to win was play par/bogey golf. And it pissed me off mightily as I took Xander at $23 after the first round.

But Hideki won it on the back nine on Saturday, that stretch from 11-17 was just remarkable. A really deserving winner.

Same. The Japanese at work are stoked.

New Japanese Chairman started today and even he was showing his excitement.

Yeah, I watched the final round. If Zalatoris putter had been on a fire, it would have been very interesting. Schauffle basically beat himself when he completely fluffed the 16th. He'd gotten within 2 at that point, and a birdie there would have been a complete game changer. However, it wasn't to be.

Fair play to Matsuyama though, holding his nerve. Not as great watching as previous years, but it's still the Masters.
