Why was Piers kicked off the morning show he was doing?
He wasn't. He quit.
Basically, his reaction really kicked off. Markle herself complained to the CEO of ITV (via lawyers etc), so it got the point that Piers had to apologise or leave.
So he left.
@canefan said in Royal drama:
His histrionics and general over the top vitriol towards Markle don't help him in presenting what is a very reasonable argument
Yeah, agreed.

Not so great if you are in the pro Megan camp!
Not sure how many are in that camp?
There's Harry of course, so far anyway. Can you have a camp of one? -

Forgot about Serena. Not convinced about Oprah, but then I really don't give a shit either. How little I care is reflected in my not correcting the spelling of Megan.
Thought that some other pedant might do it.

Wasn't here quick enough

I really don't care for Megan or Piers but if he thinks she is an attention-seeking vamp it's a bit revealing he cannot stop trying to get attention that she needs attention...self-projection, anyone?

Both is fine by me. Two attention seeking dickheads?

@snowy yes, almost certainly. Perhaps he offers more than feigned moral outrage but I am not sure what else he does. Then again I can't remember her great acting ability anyway, Suits was a bit of a blah 'legal drama' tv series as far as I can recall.

Suits started ok until every single episode became exactly the same as the last.

@nostrildamus said in Royal drama:
@mn5 that might explain why I have trouble remembering it apart from young lawyers bonking everyone. At least Boston Legal had cigars, brotime and Dalmore [or Chivas Regal].
Denny Crane!

I really enjoyed the first few seasons of Suits. Like all US shows it started to fall apart when they tried to do too much with the overall story line.
Only problem I had with it was the continual bullshit about recruiting only from Harvard. That got really old, and really stupid, really quick.

@majorrage Pretty sure there are only two universities in the american television universe, MIT and Harvard. I suppose Stanford gets the occasional mention though.
Don't forget they made a firm exemption to allow MM to study at Colombia. Like it was some sort of second-tier ...
