i think someone has said you sort of get immune to it after a while? what if you only use it a couple of times a week?
Yeah it’s good shit. Freaked me out a bit to be honest and I’m now only using it for big early sessions. Very easy to get addicted to.

@mariner4life depends what was giving you the zing. If it was the tingles aka beta-alanine then after a while you might want to go to 1.5 or 2 scoops. But in my exp you'd have to be fiending pretty hard for the buzz to lessen.
i just figured it was the 175mg of caffiene
think i'll use it for the cardio days. resistance days i get up earlier and eat before i go. but cardio i literally roll out of bed, get dressed, and drive around the corner. and i am not a morning person, so i start slow

@mariner4life definitely try it with weights. I reckon you get more tangible improvement in your lifts/endurance compared to cardio. Although my cardio + preworkout experience has been a few games of rugby and a bit of cardio alongside weights. It can hit pretty hard on an empty stomach, so that's a bonus lol. Would be interesting to see how much of a difference eating before a weights session made. C'mon man, do it for science! do it for ...

@mariner4life yeah I found the same, was expecting a buzz or being amped, but didnt get that and was wondering what the big deal was, except I could smash out my workout in about 3/4 of the time and feel like carrying on.
That said, I have noticed some days I do get a bit of a tingle in my fingers and my scalp, but nothing that makes me think I can run through walls or anything!

That’s my take on it as well (maybe powder maybe placebo). But it clearly has an effect on some of those weights days. When I don’t even need a coffee all day after an early morning workout then something is happening.

you are in the wrong thread for tips on swimming fast. at my peak when i was doing those bloody half 70.3s i could swim for ages, but painfully slow.

It will give you more energy for sure. Hitler mentioned how he took it before a race and smashed his time.
Ultimately though, technique and efficiency are what get you there. This båstard makes it look like a warmup.

Back on the pre-workout. Took it this morning before land work and swimming. Absolutely wired. Did another lunchtime session and still haven’t felt the slightest need to touch coffee. Ain’t no way that’s placebo. I think the trick is to use it sparingly.

Took it this morning before the big hybrid session of the week. Topped the leaderboard for.the first time ever, and set a bunch of personal bests.

I'll find some and give it a shot before my swims next week or two. I'm getting faster due to improved technique but still not fast enough....need harder workouts. I did a 16 for 25m. but 50m is about 40s. I'd like to go under 15, and maintain that speed to come back in under 20.And pull up session. Will post the results.

Got a body scan today. Wanted to see what the result of two months of "real life" had on my body.
Turns out the changes I have made are good ones
Weight was up half a kilo
But muscle mass up a kilo and a half
Dropped another kilo of fat, and my body fat percentage is now below 12%Added 1.5cm to my chest measurement, and took a centimetre off my abdomen
Fucking stoked.
