Other half is getting her hair done tonight, looks like I have my night sorted ! This show does sound pretty intriguing.....
It's good. The animation is similar to the Clone Wars, but with better effects.
Oh it’s animation? Slightly less interested now. ☹️
The animated shows are some of the best Star Wars. Particularly the Clone Wars.
I just find it hard to watch animation these days, sadly.
-
Watched it as planned and it definitely has legs even though it’s got a potential A Team rip off all over it. I have to grit my teeth a bit when Omega talks but I hope I get used to that. The details of Kamino and the other planets were beautifully done and the fighting scenes were great fun too. I just wonder how long the show can keep coming out with new and compelling material ?
The Moff Tarkin representation ( still one of my favourite Star Wars characters ) felt a bit weak, Rogue One did it much better. Also the strong clone seems a bit OP ( overpowered for those of you who don’t have sons to tell you cool lingo ) despite my gripes I’m fairly sure Tarkin will be a big factor in explaining the bridge between clones and ordinary ( shithouse ) stormtroopers we see later.

I'd say it is simply a cost thing. Conscription and hard rule is cheaper than paying for Clones.
The purpose of the clones was to set up an army that was available for when Palpatine needed them to fit into the grand plan. -
i'm hoping they dont string it out too long, even one long season just explaining whatever is special about omega, getting crosshair back, a couple of fun side quests and then either into hiding or....
I have to say i didn't actually mind Omega, the actress is a kiwi, shes obviously playing it up, making it childish, its cool to see something different to american or english, i like that they havent tried to recon Tem as the cones/boba/jango

I actually thought the clone troopers sounded like someone emulating Tem but not overdoing it.
The same voice actor does all of Bad Batch characters as well. He is apparently the most prolific voice actor around. Pretty sure that he would have based his version on that of Tem. -

Not sure. Could look it up I suppose.
Edit: yes he did the clone troopers in Clone Wars. Also the Frog Lady in Mando
I watched a video on him about doing the various voices and thought he was a saffa. He isn’t though and I think he has developed a slight saffa accent trying to do a kiwi one.
It was noticeable at times in episode 2. -

It was noticeable at times in episode 2.Turned saffa while trying to be a kiwi? That's an unfortunate outcome

Not an unusual one for people doing accents though. It’s only a tinge and probably only noticed by kiwis.

Never heard that one before. I remember years ago holidaying in the US the locals mistook us for English due to our accents

Second episode of the bad batch and it really bored me which isn’t a good sign. Best bits to me were the little SW noises ( ships, aliens, droids etc ) but I suspect the show itself is gonna get tired really fast.
I think I saw the trailer. Are they fighting for the Empire?

They seem a bit lost so far....but no.

I won't go that far just yet.
Yeah Ep2 was a bit slow but this is still establishment phase. They have to show why Hunter has 'adopted' Omega and will let her continue on with them. -
Yeah, ep 2 not my fav but it was clear what they were trying to establish, think it would have stood out if we’d been able to binge
