@rancid-schnitzel while watching a game on Saturday TR Jnr is like you should play for the B's next year dad!
I wonder if he heard me speak to an old mate who managed to play a Senior game with his son a few weeks back and how much of a buzz that would be and thought we might get there...unlikely as if I did ever go back, I doubt I'd be able to walk by time he was playing senior footy! haha
Most guys I talk to who go back after a length lay off say it is the constant impacts that take thier toll.
Gets expensive too - the medical bills add up.
tell me about it, even "fully insured" through the club and private let alone Medicare im going to be out $2k for my knee

I'm off to see a specialist (Greg Macleod) this week to address my knee. My entire intent is to get to France and then I'll hang up the boots.

Yeah I'm gonna play again, once we don't have to faff around with lockdown shit. Will time my run better too so it's not just endless preseason, but the taste last year was good.
I remember 15 years ago playing prems alongside a 42yo Yogi Rogers, fittest fucker in the club too.
I've been playing the odd game for the vets team since I got here, they don't actually play in a vets league so that the rugby is decent. Best forward pack I've played behind, most of them are probably approaching or over 60 now.

I’d also have to stack on some weight.
Not a problem.
The Islanders would snap me in half!
Best part of playing prop in lower grades - most of the Islander guys are only picked there because they're also a bit overweight, and generally they don't know what they're doing The pommy bloke opposite me on the weekend was half a foot shorter and decent, but at one point we drove over them and one of their second rowers did his ankle.

Another update
Day one after surgery, all seems to have gone well....sharing a room with an old mate that deaf as a wall and likes watching movies at midnight and saying “what” whenever someone asks them something
The grander side of things has been pretty cool though, getting back involved with a club, 2nds are 4-0 and I spend most weeks with a sore throat from yelling in Saturday’s, shit rugby can be fun

Trading in the Rally 250 for a CB500X. Need something more road oriented.

Nice. Only slightly more road though?

I'm on zero today. Wife well offside with me, haven't seen the dog (wife took my wee girl with her). The one thing that cheers me up, the dog, and she knows it. I am in the office because I don't want to be around wife.
None of this will end well. 18 years we have been married, just a few days ago we had our anniversary. 25 years together in total. Will go to an hotel on my own tonight.
Life sucks. There just isn't a point to it.

Way more road-oriented. Rally is a trail bike tweaked for the road and really capable off-road, CB500X is a road bike tweaked for rough/gravel/dirt roads and would struggle on real off-road terrain.

Nailed making rough puff pastry. Steak and cheese pies here I come!
Oh yeah. Good skill to have.
Now make my own beef mince and onion pies (one of favourite things) as they are becoming as rare as hen's teeth in supermarkets.

Ok, you're invited to the BBQ on the proviso, that you bring a plate.
I've got just the thing.

My son loves playing frisbee, so that will work.
