Bryn Hall is offside at every scrum. Why is the ref letting him do it?

Have you not watched this half of rugby?

@gt12 or rugby in general, half-backs get alot more latitude on rules than other positions

Well, this is a real yawn.

I’m three games into the competition and far away from being convinced that tying ourselves to Australia is a good idea.

Maybe we need domestic competitions followed by a Champions league style pool and finals with Oz, Japan and South Africa (or pacific, USA)?

Lol Japan teams are much worse, and US teams wouldn't even beat an NPC team

I was really commenting on the fact that the ref is too busy guessing at scrum time to deal with other laws like forward passes or straight line outs - halfbacks being onside must be a long way down the list.

I know, but at least we’d have games in Japan so I could go watch.

Honestly, I dont think they can come up with a competition which will be good following Super Rugby Aotearoa.

@gt12 agreed but how often does the defending 9 get ahead, push or grabs at the attacking 9 before he even gets to the ball.

    Set the tone.

Some rules are simple but refs ignore them

FFS time to retire, he just rambles out the same phrases over and over. In between name errors, that is
