Videodrome is a bloody great film and one of Cronenberg's best.
Really deep and dark film with loads of social comment. And Debbie Harry getting her kit off.

Don’t Breathe
Is this the 2016 film with Stephen Lang?

Money Plane
If the name of the movie hasn't already summed everything up for you.... here's a quote from the protagonist early on...
"We are going to rob... the Money Plane. It's an airborne casino, chartered by a bunch of elite criminals who bet on all sorts of crazy shit. It operates over international airspace, but apparently it has over a billion dollars in crypto-currency"
If you're still struggling to judge this book by its cover...
- It stars WWE wrestling star Edge/Christian. I'm pretty sure it's Edge, but I've never been able to tell the two apart. The one whose chin precedes his nose... that one. 95% sure it's Edge.
- It's directed by some guy with 2 brothers... the 2 brothers, and the director, are all in the movie. Hint: this is not a good sign of quality.
Tit-watch: zero. It does have Denise Richards in it, but as a middle-aged wife, with veeeery limited screen-time, and looking like "huh... do I know her from somewhere? Was she my primary-school mate's mum who I slightly fantasised about because I didn't have too many female wank-role-models around?"
Antagonist: Kelsey Grammar. Yeah. Bad Guy Kelsey Grammar. Alternating "dialling it in" with "hamming it up". He really goes for it with "I'm the baddest motherfucker in the world"... but... he's Kelsey fucking Grammar. So... yeah, nah.
Overall: 2 just watch the "Honest Trailers" clip for it out of 5 "you'd be better off watching a classic '90s TLC ladder match"

JoJo Rabbit satire/comedy/spoof of the Hitler Youth. One of the funniest things I've watched for a while (but then I have a very, very dark sense of humour)
4 Mel Brooks Nazi jokes out of 5 Human Centipede Sequels
-
....and a re-watch of Four Lions
-
@victor-meldrew I think I got about half an hour into Jojo and gave up, it just didn't grab me. Might have to give it another bash since everyone rates it so highly.

Army of the dead. Snyder wins again. Excellent bit of pulpy escapism. I think Batista may be he best acting wrestler.
No love for The Rock?
-
@canefan always. I'm Samoan after all. But he's always the rock. Batista can be Drax, a zombie hunting dad, an android in hiding or a near sited cop and those are the characters you believe he is. He's not just Batista.
He's also sitting on a potential gold mine if he starts presenting himself as Asian. Which to my knowledge he doesn't tap too much into.

In Stuber (I think, the Uber driver movie he made with Kamail Nanjiani) he mentions that he's not white.
I assumed he was South American due to his name and actually only just looked him up yesterday and saw that he was Filipino.

@bones that's about it though.
He was great in the Jumanji reboot as a nerdy kid trapped in the Rock's body

I'm kinda with you, but stuck it out. Was decent, but the humour didn't float my boat too much. Guess we're out on our own on the unpopular opinion front
Since this is a movie review thread, I'll shout out to the combo of Free Solo followed by Dawn Wall. Both truly remarkable films, fundamentally different, and incredible character studies of interesting human beings. Dawn Wall -- you think yuo' know what you're watching, and then 'record scratch' .... seriously great double bill.
Edit: obviously both heavy climbing films, but very accessible to someone who only climbs off the couch to get another beer

I started that last night, looks terrific so far but as I was falling asleep on the couch I might have to finish the rest tonight.
Agree about Bautista, he’s an even better actor than Rowdy Roddy Piper was ! I just think down the line it might be hard to take him seriously as anything more than a jacked up ex wrestler. For a huge scary looking fucker he does vulnerable quite well though I have to say.

That’s when I just about switched off funnily enough but I got persuaded to watch it all and wasn’t disappointed. It gets better the more “serious” it gets if that makes sense.
