@nepia ok so we are running 45 minutes late at this point.
ACT - in and out in 20 mins. That included the mandatory 15 min wait after the jab to see if you're going to die.

@nta How many a day are they processing there? Sounds pretty dire.
You forgot to mention the biscuits and chippies @Nepia is very concerned about the quality of the snacks provided
dont know the official count but I dont think I would be far off saying maybe 1000 per hour approx 250 in every 15 minute queue. It is a beast

@bayimports said in Coronavirus - Australia:
seriously the key to those mammoth queues are not arriving early and you get staright into a moving one
If I'd arrived at the 1645 time nominated, I still would not have got into the building until 1800.
The queue did not get moving until 1730 hours.

Would agree with that figure - the line was around 250-300 metres socially distanced

At least people are doing it, and were calm. That time of day is going to be a problem as the appointments ramp up.
Just heard TGA have approved 12-15 age bracket so we at least have a scope developing for the kids

@voodoo said in Coronavirus - Australia:
heard a rumour of 179 cases today...
Going to go out on a limb and suggest the majority weren't isolating either.
-
yeah, had a meeting yesterday where one bloke said his brother drove his sons down the main street of Auburn after his mothers funeral - he grew up there, and wanted to show his kids, they live somewhere else now
He said it looked like a typical Saturday, people everywhere, not a mask in sight

Cumberland and Blacktown LGAs now subject to worker lockdown measures like the others.
Even when we defeat covid they should stay in lockdown for the benefit of Sydney.
