@catogrande I don't like fruit cocktails in general... We don't have a cocktail thread do we!?
My cocktail is a mojito, just plain and simple.Do we class a flavoured gin as a cocktail???

Yes. In the same way that a shandy is.
If there were a cocktail thread it should be quite short. Listing the 3 or 4 ways of making a dry martini and that’s it.

@catogrande now sit down here with me and I'll tell you a story... Once upon a time long long underage ago I drank a lot of martini "getting ready to go out out" and walked into my local with my friend rather tipsy and asked for martini. Now the barman, a good friend of mine, said no martini but I'll give you something along the lines of it. I got a pint glass 3/4 gin 1/4 lemonade. Can't remember the rest of the story. Was a good night

Gin and coke wasnt your best idea @Catogrande but I won't waste it

Has anyone tried Malfy or Sipsmith?
Sipsmith deserve credit for being the folk that opened the gate to small gin manufacturers throughout the UK.
They took HMRC to court because they wouldn't send out exise officers to anyone distilling amounts under the big players. Without the exise 'inspections' you couldn't sell your product. The little guy won out and small distilleries started up everywhere.
If you want a classic 'London Gin' there's is as good as any.
Chere’s for the information. I’ll try them out next time I purchase.

@catogrande Ok. Delayed response but my mate made a vesper martini the other day. I liked it. Refreshing and fruity without being sweet. He used Belverdere Vodka and Quarantine Gin. Nice to sip.
