Who actually doesn't want him in the team anymore?

dude you know there is a whole cohort just waiting for a mistake so they can pile back in about attitude and workrate and other madeup stuff. Same for his brother.

Yep, it's notable a couple of previous critics on here that can't even compliment him (many have to be fair).

The most pleasing thing for me last night was Akira's breaks were in the backend of the game. Puts to bed any fitness or workrate bullshit.

There are already complaints that he is (we are) playing him too wide, and that he has to move in against the really scary teams.

I think it's great that has taken the Read tramline role, it suits him perfectly with his pace and offload game. Cane will serve us well up the middle and/or Paps and Ardie usually plays up the middle too, but we can always bring our hooker back to the middle of the park if we want a flanker on both edges.

@frank What I don't understand is why posters try to diminish someone's stats/results by comparing him with another player, who also played well. Both can be good or even great. Just be happy that there seems to be a solution for previous "gaps" in the backrow and midfield.

Sonny Bill ( what an extraordinary pundit that guy is, probing questions hidden under the “bro” persona ) asked the man himself if he was because he’d cut down on the late night Maccas runs.

The bellowing laugh in response indicates to me this is probably true.

Or it's an inside joke. There's no doubt following his non-selection in the All Blacks that he went into a dark place mentally and his fitness suffered. Thankfully he comes through that, been rewarded with selection under a new coach and we're seeing the benefits.

I think because in this scenario, one was faultless and the other not.

@hooroo Neither were completely faultless. Just celebrate what they did right, which was a lot.

Nah, I'm good thanks. I prefer to celebrate a great game over just an honest game with faults

I’m not sure any AB has had a faultless game since DC vs the Lions in 05.

Come on mate, give Akira a bit more credit than that. Why all the bagging?

I dunno, I guess your post putting up Havilli's stats looked a little bit of a petty response to Akira's graphic above. Frank was just pointing out that a good 70m of those 90m for DH were from an intercept.

I'm sure that was the last thing on your mind though, right 🙂

You guessed wrong, as per usual when commenting on a post of mine. If that's your motivation for posting things, that's on you. I don't have that mindset. The Akira and Havili posts are the only ones with stats I've seen. I like it if they highlight the positives. If I find another one with good stats, I'll post that too.

    Stuff.co.nz gave Akira a 10 out of 10.

You can’t beat that so turns out he is perfect after all

Good point. Someone should create a thread for us to have a whinge about them.
