    For those that live nearby.

Mmm. Still 2.5 hours from here.

And they pick the day it's due to rain.

Anybody over here going? Tempted to see if can find a ticket for France somewhere, but it doesn't look cheap.

Italy is a bit more bearable, be nice to pop to Rome for a weekend again.

I can imagine tickets to the Wales game would be a couple of hundred squid by now, plus the complication of trying to figure out my covid passport.

    Dublin...yeah nah fuck Dublin.

The kick-off times are slightly different for the USA and Italy games, depending on which official website you look at:

USA v All Blacks: k/o 8.00am NZT (3.00pm local time) - according to ticketmaster website.

Italy v All Blacks: k/o 2.00am NZT (2.00pm local time) - as announced by the Italian Rugby Federation (FIR) last week.

Preferred the 9pm AEST (12pm NZT) kickoff in @Tim's post but makes more sense.

I suspect the French game atmosphere will go someway to easing the pain of the expenses.. what is "powderpuff forwards" in French? Joueurs de poudrière?

Wales B might not attract that many locals.

A good read this. Ethan is certainly his own man, and hasn't followed the typical path through the rugby system.

'I'm not quite in good enough shape to be playing test footy': Sam Cane's stark admission

'I'm not quite in good enough shape to be playing test footy': Sam Cane's stark admission

Sam Cane doesn't expect to be locked in as a certain starter for this week's test against Wales, and he doesn't think you should either.

thoughts? is a tour the place to get back match fit or would have have been better playing NPC and giving one of the other a few more games in the black jersey?

He's in the right place, under the ABs guidance and eyes.

@machpants really? He is one of two loose forwards who arguably are only fit to be foodbills. Chance wasted to try out more loosies IMO.

@nostrildamus yeah, ive come around too cane being first choice when fit, he was great last year after coming back from injury...but he's no DC/Mccaw/Lomu etc as far as irreplaceable, it does kind of stike me as a time to build more depth, give paps and blackadder more time in the black jersey

I dont see why you cant do that and also have him there to provide advice and leadership about how to be successful? There are at least three other 7 options in the squad.

    @kiwiwomble

I like the way they’ve done it with Whitelock as captain, and Cane back in the leadership group. They can see how he goes, aren’t required to use him yet, and when(if) he earns his spot back people cant use the ‘only because he’s their pet captain’ line.

Yeah the depth is there, he’s ‘hoping’ to be back for the last 2 tests, but maybe he won’t or just on the bench, or plays only the last - he’ll be fresh compared to many of the others who have been touring for 2 months more

I'd say he'd come up to speed quicker in that environment than playing in the NPC.

I'd take an underdone Cane over a fit Kirifi.

@antipodean I think I'd put almost any NPC 7 in the ABs ahead of that dickhead.
