@yeetyaah He has played league, very briefly, in England and has represented PNG in league, but that's about it.

Spirited contest. Waikato are their own worst enemies at times. Triple T and Narawa having great games for BOP. Mitch J everywhere for Mooloo. Interesting second half in store.

I'm quite impressed with Tepaea Cook-Savage in this game.

The ref has been friendly on foul play. Could’ve had multiple yellows (2 lifting tackles, 2 shoulder charges) and a red

Leroy Carter is not a winger. Dude dropped so many balls when there was space ahead.

Waikato need to find some true locks for 2022 as both the scrum and lineout has suffered when McWhannell isn't on the field. Tucker, Burr and Thompson are all 6s, and the latter has had issues pushing in the scrum. Finau was used as the no.1 option when he played, so has been a big loss.

That said, I thought that Waikato showed some spirit and guts in the 2nd half, and fronted. Leuila and Cook-Savage should have started in earlier games. Ratima continues to develop with every game. Tucker played well in his 50th game.

It is strange seeing so many young players out there for both teams, which has made this NPC like no other.

    These haka hit different

Hopefully the tribute to Wainui and dual hakas appear on youtube. That was truely unique for a pro game.

Was a great game to be at. Plenty of young talent and skills on display.

Is Tosi injured ? He could have brought more dynamism to the BoP pack.

BoPRU although their social media has been remarkably good this year have been just as consistenty terrible about injury anouncements.

BOP have 3 games in 8 days, so it could be that some were rested and will start Wednsday or it could be injured, no way of knowing at this stage

Apart from a distinct lack of ability to clear the ball from under pressure, some of the young kids did pretty well all things considering.

For all the sh*t Leroy Carter got for dropping balls (probably should be more maligned for tackles without arms), the enthusiasm and work rate was intense. Need to keep in mind he is primarily a half back been forced to play out of position. Quite happy with his output

The really frustrating thing is him being forced to play on the wing with an actual wing on the bench. I don't blame Carter - I think Gibson has just completely lost the plot
