not sure there is a valid reason, I have long since wanted him dealt with, I expect Tommen being a little kids is part of it, I doubt Joffrey woulda allowed Cersei or Marjory to sit in prison!

Cercei would be fucken spewing about what happened to her and I thought that season six woulda started with them all hanging from the gallows but four episodes in there's been a lot of talk and no action.

It will likely kick off a civil war if they are not swift enough. Expect plenty of killing when they do.

Isn't the whole show about different people fighting to be the person in the Iron Throne because of the power it holds? It appears that being the king means sweet fuck all.

I know a lot of people, here and elsewhere, are moaning about a drop off in quality of GoT, but I'm loving it. I think it's very clever that it can get you to root for characters who are, let's face it, utter scumbags just because they are less horrible than other scumbags. I'm holding out for Cersei unleashing The Mountain on her enemies when it's not that long ago I was hoping for both of them to die ugly deaths. Marvellous.
Good to see a few plots finally coming together. Jon Snow and Sansa to take on Ramsay. Lannister's and Tyrell's to take on the High Sparrow. Daenerys now with a Dothraki army behind her to go with the unsullied, ready to fuck some shit up. That episode set up some big fights, hopefully they deliver.
Yeah, no doubt. The High Sparrow must have known that Tommen would tell Cercei anything he said, given how easy Tommen is to manipulate, so I'd say the High Sparrow is using the Lannisters, who in turn are trying to use the Tyrell's.

Fuck knows what he said though. Probably something to incite anger and violence in an attempt to overthrow the state.

I'm guessing he told Tommen that it was the Tyrell's that had a hand in killing Joffrey.

Namely Grandma Tyrell ( Queen of Thorns)

Yep, and Cersei is playing both sides to set the Tyrells up for a fall while they are wiping out the Sparrow.

Some nerd picked up that during the scene where Cersie agrees to work with the Tyrell's the music in the back ground was 'the rains of Castamere'

We all know that went the last time it was played...

Okay since we aren't doing spoilers now, as I put in my spoiler earlier...

I absolutely think that the incest twins are going to use this to try to destroy the Tyrell's.

My guess, and this was made whilst watching the show as I turned to my better half and told her this... is that what the Sparrow told Tommen was information gained from torturing Loras - which was that Lady Olena was responsible (along with Little Finger) for the poisoning death of Jofferey.

This would explain why the incest twins looked so determined - determined for revenge rather than protecting the Queen (Margerey Tyrell)!

So I think that the Lannisters are using the mis-information that Margerey will be made to do the walk of shame to draw the Tyrell army into the city because as we know, a large army like that is much less effective in the house to house fighting as it is on a field of battle.

The one weakness to this theory is just how (and using what army) will Cersie and Jamie to do this given they only have the City guard at their disposal (that I know of). Perhaps the Lannister forces will be laying in wait for Tyrells to show up?

My $0.02 worth

And it appears this theory is pretty much the stock theory around the interweb.

From the Time website (http://time.com/4337568/game-of-thrones-theory-high-sparrow-tommen-secret/)

Warning: This post contains spoilers from the sixth season of Game of Thrones.

After a conversation between Cersei and Tommen in the fourth episode ofGame of Thrones‘ sixth season ended with the young king preparing to reveal a mysterious secret to his mother, viewers were left wondering what he had been hiding. The information in question had been told to him in confidence by the High Sparrow — presumably during the pair’s exchange last week — and seemed to be gravely upsetting for the boy. “Mother, there’s something I want to tell you, something the High Sparrow told me,” he says nervously. “I promised him I wouldn’t tell anyone.”

The scene cuts off shortly afterwards, segueing into a sequence in which Cersei and Jaime burst into a meeting between Olenna Tyrell and current Hand of the King Kevan Lannister to broker a deal with them. The agreement involves the Tyrells bringing their army to King’s Landing in order to take down the Faith Militant and prevent the High Sparrow from forcing Margaery to make the same walk of atonement that Cersei was subjected to in the season five finale — a plan that Reddit user WriteOnSC thinks might reveal more about Tommen’s confession.

“It’s my belief that the High Sparrow told Tommen about the Tyrells’ involvement in Joffrey’s murder,” the Redditor writes. “Judging by the tears in his eyes when he’s about to tell Cersei, it seemed to be the worst possible news. I believe it’s Ser Loras who revealed this information as he seemed absolutely broken by his solitary confinement. Immediately after Tommen tells her the news, Cersei and Jaime show up to the small council with a plan to invite the Tyrell army into King’s Landing to deal with the Seven and protect Margaery from a [walk] of atonement. I believe this is a ruse by Cersei to draw the Tyrells into her scheme. The Tyrells picking a fight with the Seven will create unrest among its followers/citizens of King’s Landing. They will turn on and blame the Tyrells with the Lannisters ‘standing down.’ This creates a war between two of Cersei’s least favorite factions: the citizens of King’s Landing who treated her like garbage during her walk of atonement, and the family responsible for her son’s murder. Every dead body is a win.”

Sure, but like most things in GoT and A song of Ice and Fire, things most often don't turn out as expected.

In fact, a "war" between Lannister and Tyrell may just put the "Sparrow" and his followers in a stronger position as the two main forces in and around Kings Landing destroy or severly weaken each other.

One thing would really piss me off is if Lady Olenna falls for this as she has come across all series (and in the books) as a very shrewed player of the "game of thrones". Surely she should be able to see through this possible plot of the incest twins.

In fact, there is considerable chat on the interweb as to whether or not Ser Loras would have even known of the successful plot to poison Jofferey as Margerey only found out after the peice and that was only to insure she went into marriage with Tommen fully informed. Olenna would have had no reason to tell Loras who has already showen he is happy to give away Tyrell secrets in pillow talk with his various lovers.
