@kiwiwomble NZ travel restrictions until 30 April have been announced (or maybe, restrictions will be dropped as of 30 April). Double vaxxed covid negative Aussies (and others i assume) have to home quarantine for 7 days until then.

    No sporting exemptions yet. https://covid19.govt.nz/alert-levels-and-updates/latest-updates/reconnecting-new-zealand-the-next-steps/

    Apparently Australians aren't 'others eligible'.

Well the New Zealand players in those teams can come on the 16th of Jan, didn't the Western Force have lots of kiwis 🙂

The competition will feature “Super Round Melbourne,’’ the brain child of both NZ Rugby and Rugby Australia, which is designed to showcase the competition before the start of the NRL and AFL.

Backed by TEG Live, Asia Pacific’s leading live entertainment company and the Victorian Government, it will see games played at AAMI Park for three straight days of double-headers between February 25-27, and “home’’ teams will be reimbursed.

    Another fucking stupid idea IMO.

the NRL one is pretty fucking great

It's played in a league heartland.

I'm fairly certain no front rower wants to be the last game on AAMI park that weekend either.

    that you derpus?

Nah, he didn't say 'and all the ozzie teams will lose'

Muthafucka... that's exactly the gag I wanted to make, but was too lazy.

why don't you post them then in the memes thread when you get round to it-no one will notice the repeats..

The Chiefs will need to replace Barnes unless Nick White takes on a larger role.

@gt12 when you look at what he has done with the resources in Southland, I think he must be doing something right.

He is very development oriented too.

Yeah Steven does get on well with Dale.

@gt12 Dale I believe is joining Moana Pacifika , have not heard directly from Dale , but from a source close to him..Sir Bryan Williams is hugely impressed how he has been able to turn a Southland Stags that looked more like a Heartland team a few seasons back into a competitive team but more importantly has promoted a few unknowns into Super Rugby players ,Manaaki Selby Rickett , Joe Walsh,Ray Nu’u and Josh Moorby ,Chris Apoua ,Mike McKee along with Ethan De Groot who has also cracked the All Blacks , not a bad strike rate in a short period of time with limited resources..definitely one that got away from Northland Rugby ..
He also converted new Hurricanes prop Pasilio Tosi who was a number 8 into the propping position

@gt12 Denny Solomona a former England test star is leaving Sale with immediate affect. Wonder if he could get picked up by a Super Rugby franchise in New Zealand.

Why did they put the draw out without knowing the plans of the Governments? They should have put TBC for grounds until clarification. They put the draw out before the first meeting of the new committee! I think they could play all of the inter country games and then all head to OZ for a super round and the Trans Ta$man games.
