Some of Luke Ronchi's reported comments overnight almost make @ACT-Crusader seem like a pessimist about the Black Caps chances.

Right, once more to head out to bake in the sun next to Southee & Jamiesons Pies, Est. 2022.

Share some pics on the fern and tell Rossco I love him and believe in him.

Rossco gave up the ghost before we'd even found a park. We've turned up, but the Black Caps are still at Patrick's Pies. Jamieson has turned into a foodbill, first for RCB, and now for the Craps.

This lot turned up for dress up day on Day 2 as the 1994 Black Caps and just never bothered to change. Abysmal.

Southee managed to have the worst looking dismissal. Quite a feat in this innings.

Drop him for Henry. Despite MN5's protests, Southee hasn't fronted here at all. "Henry's pie cart" could not possibly be worse with bat or ball, or with body language.

Southee looks like an old man trudging through his work in this game.

Won’t happen. You don’t drop the 4th best bowler in the game ( yep, check the ratings )

You give him a boot up the arse though.

Ravindra is in the unfortunate position of making us miss Santner in the Test side.

    Wash your mouth out

Let’s select Santner AND Henry in the next test and watch our ranking plummet faster than a meteorite.

You parrot your usual cliches, but are yet to explain how Henry or Santner could actually perform any worse than the recent performances out in front of us from Ravindra or Southee.

Lots of firsts in this test, but the two catches this morning have been top drawer.

5 donuts for the Blackcaps. @MN5 right at home with this 90s-esque performance.

Yeah not defending Ravindra as such, that position is well up in the air I’ll give you that.

But Southee has class and history on his side vs Henry who has CONSTANTLY been mediocre at test level.

Actually a guy from Bangladesh who averaged over 80 prior to this just took a truckload, fuck it, give Henry a go.

Off 17 balls. Which makes it worse.

They dropped Wagner while he was the fifth best in the world and his last outing was a WTC win.

At least with Southee you can point to 50 wicketless overs on the trot for his exclusion.

The major issue we have is similar to England, Boult and Southee's exploits generally rise and fall together dependent on the conditions at this point of their career.

If he was a South African playing for Australia as opposed to a South African playing for New Zealand you’d be lauding his tenacious, disciplined stonewalling.

Anyway, hasn’t the Ashes started ? Shouldn’t you be leaving this thread and buggering off over there ?

The handful of Bangladeshi fans are. And the seven year old still thinks we have a small chance. Though the group who left at the innings break seemed less entertained...

@mn5 raining in Sydney. Only thing to stop England's blushes at this point.

Yeah Boult and Southee are damn close to becoming Broad and Anderson.

Wags was dropped but I just can’t see them breaking up this quartet when Henry isn’t the most exciting alternative.

Another shit test though and things might change.
