Ireland v Wales

29-0 with 20 minutes to go. Wales making it too easy for Ireland to score.
This could get very, very ugly.

Wales players looking utterly miserable. Big job for Pivac to pick them up after this.

Worst Welsh performance for some time. Forwards look to be on Mogadon compared to Ireland and the backs seem to be terrified of taking the ball at pace.

Wish ABs could swap out Perenara for JGB.
I was actually thinking how many more tries Ireland could have scored with a 9 who had fast pass like Nugget or even Christie.

Wales are the worst I’ve ever seen them.
Barely look committed.
If they keep playing like this, Wales will be battling Italy for the Wooden Spoon this year.

This Ireland team has the ability to be the best Ireland side of all time. Schmidt did well with Ireland but this team is better - it's like night & day on attack.
Wish ABs could swap out Perenara for JGB.
We see how they go down under. But serious opposition these days.

The Welsh backline passing is fucking awful. Everyone jumping onto the ball rather than running onto it
-
Basham in.
One of the few Welsh players to vaguely impress

Just finished the first half.
Ireland's loosehead hasn't been legal at scrum once - shoulders below hips every time. The penalty given to Ireland in the 37th minute was poor officiating from the AR (Peyper was on the other side) as Green loses bind and collapses from his own ineptitude. Biggar could have kicked a penalty from there to make it 10-3.
Other than that, Ireland should be dominating

My points
- I was on to say Wales were lucky to get nil, but they lucked in to get 7
- Wales rucks like amateur era, committing half a dozen (ineffective) players. Worst ruck work I've seen in a long time.
- Wales rushing up outside player on defence was so badly done, it just made gaps not pressure.
- How the fuck is Gibson-Park on an international team, he's rubbish. Where are Ireland's young nines?
- Ireland really didn't take advantage of their dominance until after the stupidity of Wales 13. I know we all want to smash sextoppingtwat, but that was dumb
-
This is embarrassing from Wales, they are terrible. Their defensive formation is shit to start with, staggered lines and short. But it only takes a couple of phases and the whole thing gets pulled apart. On attack they had nothing, no plan, no shape, no ball protection.
Ireland were good. That plan to shift to the outside of Wales worked far to often (they've been using those wraps for years and they still work). And then the option of the short pass to go through the huge holes left by shooters. Like v us, Ireland seem to have to work really hard to turn their dominance in to points, and it's because they lack real strike weapons from 13 out. Good players but hardly tear you apart. Sexton tends to rush things as well, perhaps influenced by needing to give those outsides a lot of chances.
Dominant win. Wales looking nervously at Italy.

The Irish lock Byrne is really fucking good by the way.
