    @duluth

    That’s one of the most genuinely Italian sounding teams for some time.

    @duluth said in Italy v England:

    15 Edoardo Padovani, 14 Federico Mori, 13 Juan Ignacio Brex, 12 Marco Zanon, 11 Monty Ioane, 10 Paolo Garbisi, 9 Stephen Varney, 8 Toa Halafihi, 7 Michele Lamaro (c), 6 Braam Steyn, 5 Federico Ruzza, 4 Niccolo Cannone, 3 Pietro Ceccarelli, 2 Gianmarco Lucchesi, 1 Danilo Fischetti

    Reserves: 16 Epalahame Faiva, 17 Cherif Traore’, 18 Tiziano Pasquali, 19 David Sisi, 20 Sebastian Blacks, 21 Giovanni Pettinelli, 22 Alessandro Fusco, 23 Leonardo Marin

    @Catogrande 5/15 and 7/23 sound non Italian. (Not sure which way Traore' swings, giving him the benefit ...)

    @booboo There are a couple of guys called Traore that play in the A League and they look decidedly African so it would not surprise me if this one is not from there as well, In addition the number 19 played for England Under 20s and my London Irish team years ago so he could be another invitation player.

    Lol at 20 Sebastien 'blacks'! Traore is from Guinea, but came over as a kid.

    Surely it is Negri - who ruffled a lot of feathers in the same match last year with foul play. But, I don't imagine he changed his name by deed poll. Makes you wonder if the writer or sub-editor did it as a 'black' joke after the Willis incident... not expecting it would go public??

    It's totally Negri, just so funny how it's been translated

    Eddie Jones talking some shit about Ali and Liston before the game. So obviously an attempt to wind up Colt and the Italians. Eddie's losing his subtlety in his old age. He needs to try harder.

    How was that not a penalty against Smith? Tackles Mori, then doesn't release and while still on the ground wrestles his leg into touch. Bizarre refereeing.

    Not too sure that Ital are really up to 6N standards, but they have played well in the last 2 games. Much more disciplined and their defence at times is top notch.

    Based on the first 1.5 matches, Italy are streets ahead of the chasing pack

    If either Wales or Scotland take significant injuries in the next rounds then the Italy match could be nightmare

    They seem to be where Scotland were a few seasons back - competitive but buggering up opportunity after opportunity from set pieces near the tryline.
