Hurricanes vs Highlanders

Thankfully the Canes have Coles, Aumua, Franks, Walker-Leawere, Perenara, Roigard etc to come back in so hopefully we can win this game ugly.

@machpants There is daylight behind Barrett and Mo'unga.
Still think he should train was a nine, the gap behind Smith is bigger!
-
Fakatava is no way near the ABs on this performance.

Barrett is playing 15, Mounga plays 10. I guess you realise this is a Canes-Clan thread?

Julian showing why he should be picked ahead of Goosen….not
Yep and I not convinced on Love's performance at 10 either, mind you Judd is pretty average, he doesn't get to half the bloody breakdowns!

And pointing out both tens out there are playing shitty?

Okay, I'm biased, but I'll defend Fakatava.
He is playing like someone who has had an awful injury, hasn't played for almost a year and needs some time to get his confidence back. He has proven before his injury what he can do and that he can be our next best halfback. Just keep giving him consistent game time and it will show again.

That's being kind. He is slow to the breakdown, and slow to react. It will probably take all season to get back to pre-injury form.

Except he has the SH best nine in the team, so he won't get consistent time.

For sure, I don't expect him to return to form until at least the NPC, but why is Brown starting him?

@machpants I think he will get it, because they need to manage Smith's game time. He's old and he needs enough rest if they don't want to wear him out.
Like Whitlock in the saders? I don't think so, desperate coaches will use him.

Whitelock has only played 100min out of 240 possible minutes in the first 3 weeks.

Yeah that's mandated by ABs. I was talking last session
