I went with the back row...although should have gone Ofa over Tom, Reiko showed what gas does for cover defence

The back row were significantly better than their opposites. Another week where it’s hard to pick the top three. Papali’i, RI & Ofa got my vote

@duluth I went Dalton, Finlay and big Ofa. Plenty to choose from.

    Exactly mine too. Here’s why:

Dalton Papalii has fully arrived as the successor to Cane. He ran for 52 with 6 defenders beaten and two clean breaks while making 21 tackles (none missed) naturally leading the team.

While Rieko only ran for 17 metres, his defense was fucking unbelievable (16 made including some try savers, 2 missed). I’m fully convinced he is the answer at 13 so the question is who to match him with at 12.

Ofa play is exactly what we need at TH. Ran for 38, conceded no penalties, and didn’t miss a tackle. Many of his runs led to breaks as well.

Lots of others were good too (Sotutu 15 made, none missed; Romano 12 made, 1 missed) but I think those three stand apart.

I won't edit my post above, but you have to say that Romano was an outstanding pickup for the Blues. He got away with shitloads tonight (especially in the first half). I couldn't believe his workrate for his age; I guess he had a point to prove.

Considering he went the full 80 as well. By all accounts he is a top bloke and just stoked to still be playing. He really has been a great servant of NZ Rugby.
