@MN5 Yep. His voice is unique but you don't have to have a church choir voice to connect with your audience like your favorite Mark Knopfler or Johnny Cash. Pretty Maids all in a row is a good example of the effectiveness of his voice.

I don’t know if this is a compliment or not.

Anyway here’s another album to listen to….a great soundtrack to how I’d imagine life was in the 70s

@MN5 Good recommendations. Listened to both while my daughter was driving on the freeway for the first time. Both experiences were enjoyable.

The Eagles to me are ‘BBQ music’ something safe and boring to put on at a gathering that won’t offend anyone.

Walsh on his own ( or with the James Gang ) is something else entirely. I had a listen while playing darts in the garage last night, it helped inspire a couple of big scores !!!!

I’m not going to post a clip as you all know the album but that new show about the Sex Pistols made me throw Never mind the bollocks on today.
What a fucking brilliant album! Worth revisiting.
I probably won’t listen to it again for a while but I have kind of changed my mind a bit and it deserves its place in history

@MajorRage this came up on my YouTube feed so naturally I had a listen.

    Three points……

    1. Roddy, Mike, Bill and the guitarist must have thought, “fuck it, let’s see how Chuck has been going after all these years and give him another hoon” ( despite firing him for being hammered too often all those years ago )……I think the other Mike (Patton) is safe…..

    2. Kinda poignant, Chuck was dead not long after this performance

    3. Gould has THE most killer bass tone I’ve heard in years. Him and Mike Bordin drive this song like an absolute motherfucker ( which is needed to make up for Moselys efforts )

@MN5 tried to like this song but outside of the bass it sucked. But have enjoyed your recommendation on Joe very much.
