I’ve got no doubt that the Ahsoka show will be YET ANOTHER strong female character dealing to all sorts of overwhelming odds in a ridiculous manner ( she obviously had other plans otherwise she would have joined Mandos harem to rescue Grogu ) so we should probably enjoy this one while we can.

Remember that Ahsoka always has been that character you describe. She was Anakin's apprentice and has given Vader a good run for his money in a fight. She's a 'grey jedi' in that she isn't bound to the jedi ways but has force abilities which makes her even stronger as she can dip into the dark side a bit but control it.

We need her show to introduce Thrawn, which I am really looking forward to.

    Yeah just

    ##spoiler
strangely paced aye ? Would have made more sense if we saw him land, acquaint himself etc.

Minor criticism though, this show is genuinely getting better and better.

Does anyone reckon the droid that has him round the throat is K2SO or not ?

probably the latter as there looks to be a few of them there. They’re pretty strong and ruthless. A definite upgrade from the battle droids in the republic days.

Well he's about to go into an imperial prison as has to get out somehow. K2SO was a security droid that was reprogrammed. Maybe this next stanza shows that or how they link up.

Could shoehorn in other characters from SW Rebels too if they wanted, especially Ezra and Sabine Wren

im playing "Knights of the old Republic II" and i am still baffled why Disney just keeps jamming stories into the same 50ish year period

these stories are semi canon (reference to Reven in the sequels and remaking KotOR next year) so it shows the skywalker "saga" isn't even the "biggest" event in the star wars universe

These two games would make awesome movies with genuine twists and unique characters

    So…..

    ##spoiler

Bit of a ho hum episode after last week.

Yes, the prison is a nasty place, we get it, while pretty well done I don’t think we needed a whole episode on it.

The security looks outstanding though, I wonder how he breaks out ?

You really don't seem to like the building the story episodes? I like them, it doesn't have to be pew pew every week for me. 😉

    ##spoiler
I know that Saw Gerrera is a cool character to cartoon watchers but he was such a dumb shit in Rogue One when he chose to die for no good reason that my care factor for him is pretty low.

I don’t even think us cartoon watches really like him, we just got more development…he still seems like a dick

Speaking of cartoons, anyone trying the tales of the Jedi? The 3 ep dooku arc is awesome, please watch those 3 if you’re going to watch any, as was the Ahsoka arc although that did rely on having watched season 8 of clones wars a little bit

    ##spoiler
Don’t mind the slower andor ep…we know it’s a long season and they’re really building…would rather see this that he manages to break out on his first night like a super hero or something

@Kiwiwomble really enjoyed the Tales of Jedi. Episode 6 in particular was excellent. I wish they were a bit longer as they could’ve done a bit more with the Dooku story. But I’m not complaining and I get that it was about getting content out quickly.

As for Andor, really like where they are going. I don’t mind the fluff around the main story theme that is building.

OT: Is anyone else watching The Rings of Power. I’m a big of LOTR and the Hobbit movies fan and read the Hobbit. It’s taken a little bit to get used to, but am quite enjoying it. Star Wars, sport and LOTR is about the extent of my TV watching these days.

Agree. If you are a fan of the prequels or the storyline there, these Dooku shorts are a valuable watch to fill in some gaps. When the movies came out I was always puzzled about who Dooku was and how he fitted in. These stories explain it all quickly.

Andor last ep connection with R1

    ##spoiler
Read that one of the guys in Andors prison work unit is 'Melshi" (the rebel soldier who leads the team that rescues Jyn Erso from the Imperial labor camp in Wobani during Rogue One.
Might be a pointer toward the upcoming escape.

Dooku was a fantastic character ( a lot of this is down to the amazing Christopher Lee ).

I’d love to see what him and Qui Gonn got up to in their younger days.

It is only short but explains Dooku's fall to the dark side and how Qui Gonn (and his death) played a part in that.

@Crucial I really liked that aspect, adding depth in the same way the Clone Wars did to Anakin.

Just finished Andor, so good. Once you adjust to the pacing, the acting and plot is top notch. All the connections, spying and character interactions are fantastic.

Set design is excellent as well.

What's the go with Dedra and Karn? That whole Karn arc has been too deliberate to not be leading somewhere but the scene with the two of them was awkward
