Forza Italia. What a wonderful result!

I will say again, see you get a coach from Kaponga and you always going to improve!!! And see what his brother also did for Wellington.

But in truth I really liked what I heard from Crowley, in saying he thought one of main things was for Italy to forge an identity how they were going to play. I not all that surprised with result, Italy looked very unItaly like against Samoa last week, didn't just sneak in a win like we hace come to expect, but made it real solid.

WTF. Bad result for NZ as we need a stronger Aust. Hope the team can sort themselves out and win at least one of their next 2 games

His record is piss poor, I’m surprised he hasn’t been replaced by now

Because replacing the last 5 coaches had definitely helped...

His selections have been horrible. He took Italy way too lightly and paid the price. Piss poor.

He also needed to give players game time at test level in European conditions before RWC2023.

I'll take a loss to Italy if it helps win our pool. We need to accept the Wallabies aren't a tier 1 side because Australian Rugby isn't a tier 1 nation.

The discipline is the concerning bit

I should add: because our injury toll shows we might need everyone we can get

Stupid by Gordon. That is not coached. Can't blame Rennie for that yellow card.

It's good for world rugby that Italy are improved.

They now have an attacking game that can cause trouble.

But kick them out of the 6N

Honestly fuck Andrew Brace - for the first Italian try right on the sideline he's thumbs up despite bodies in the way. For the first Wallabies try he's suddenly unsure. 🙄

Italy going to the bench early is an interesting move.

For the Wallabies it is the same old story - our ruck work is shit both sides of the ball

And then we can't hit a lineout, uncontested, five metres out. FFS.

and ironic that we throw one not straight that is definitely not straight. And follow it with an early engage. Back to back

    Yeah nah.

The ABs will continue to play what’s in front of them when it comes to the Wallabies. They’ve been inconsistent over the past 15 years - from very good to very poor. They don’t have great depth (not that unusual) and there were a bunch of newish players in this side. They didn’t perform and were whistled off the park because of poor discipline.

Yellow card SA. Now 14 vs 13.

10 minutes left with SA leading 26-22

Get the winning opportunity but can't make the kick. Donaldson will be unhappy but it was gone before him.

Discipline continues to be something Rennie et al must be pulling their hair out on. If they could maybe focus on that and improving our ruck standards, we'd have won that in a canter.

The team was always going to be a bit disjointed and Italy had a week together to iron out their kinks.

    Well done Italy.

Look longer term: we're a tier 2 nation. Everyone who thinks we're top tier haven't looked at the history of mostly average work, garnished with a couple of awesome stretches where we punched above our weight.

You only just beat Scotland. It doesn’t get much lower than that
