Does know one watch cricket any more? Spark Sport seems to have reduced interest in the game.

November is rather early for Black Caps.

Same issue in Aus - only 10k turned up to the MCG the other day for Aus-England.

Spark Sport won't release their viewer numbers for any of the sport they broadcast. That tells me one thing, and it ain't good news.

I've just got used to not watching any domestic international cricket now. TVNZ was meant to have the first T20i live but that match was rained off.

I've got Spark, but only for cricket. I just figure it's a hundy for all the cricket all season ... seems readonable to me.

The real issue was going to Sky a few decades ago. It stripped it from free to air, and makes it harder for kids to engage.

I suspect Spark will sell out to Sky soon; Sky are in a bit of a resurgence from looking ilke they were a sunset company.

I don't mind the new system.

I pay $40 per month for sky now, but only when the Rugby season is on, or $24 per month when it's cricket season. Beats paying $100 a month for sky all year round.

Unlike others I've never had any real issues with streaming.

    Nobody watching this arvo's game?

Might be a bit of a damp squib.

    Radar not looking promising.

Covers still on not looking great, 4.5 overs is all we might get.

Plenty of rain in the last hour, especially the last 30 mins. I doubt there will be any cricket for a while. A warm sunny day yesterday. 🙂

@Bovidae was planning to head over for this until I checked the forecast. Glad I didn't.

Mitchell appeal reviewed. Looked good but no sense in not reviewing. Maybe sliding...

Washington Sundar has let the side down a bit here. He should be farming the strike, not taking singles off the first ball of the over.

Reviewing an LBW when 8 down coz why not? is one thing.

Reviewing an obvious caught behind when you've obviously hit it and everyone is walking off is borderline abuse of process.

Allen and Conway developing a solid opening partnership.

    Allen 45 off 47, Conway 30/43

    NZ 85/0

Players are off with 2 overs needed to make a game. NZ well in control. Need 116 off 32 overs with 9 wickets in hand.

    Hope they get back on.

And then don't get back on, so it's a no result. We were about 50 ahead on DLS. At least we were already leading the series.

Two overs short of a DLS victory.

NZ takes three match series 1-nil.

    Fahnallan finds a little form.

Why play at home in Nov? (I know why ... but the weather ... )
