Movember.
Fuck. Off. Not shaving your top lip for charity is like me only wanking with my left hand for charity. You aren’t achieving shit, or suffering shit.
Stupidest idea ever.
I'm as grumpy as fuck and I don't really get why you're getting so worked up about this one. If it raises money then who cares? I'd rather grow a mo than not eat for 40 hours to raise money for charity. If you can get people to pay and not suffer shit then that's way more sensible to me.
Plus you get to look like a porn star/sex offender/Tom Selleck/Sean Connery/Burt Reynolds/Terry Wright/Hulk Hogan depending on what cards you get dealt in terms of mo growing ability.
Win/win
Exactly. You are asking people to pay you to do something you enjoy that takes minimal effort.
If you want my charity moo la, you need to earn it.
Is this grumpiness cos you’re one of those guys who can’t grow a mo ?
-
If I grow a mo I look like a taller version of my dad so my wife has banned it

I'm with the Rager here. It's lazy shit.
Go without booze for a month (fuck that) , go run/walk some crazy stuff, sure, I'll pay that.
But be lazy and just don't shave for a month? Really?
Is there another charity where I can not wear deodorant for a month, anyone care to sponsor me for that?
I haven't shaved for 4 years*. Give me $10,000.
*upstairs at least...

people call me grumpy in the real world but this is next level...grumpy about raising money for one of the few things left in the world thats specifically about dudes without being cancelled for being sexist ....on a rugby forum that has to be 99% dudes?
side note, i have a female friend who is doing movember...each day drawing a slightly bigger mustache on herself...its hilarious

I think it’s 100% now. I haven’t seen the insane chicks who actually frequented this forum for ages now.

Oh piss off with your soap box.
I’ve run marathons for charity.
Excuse me for thinking the months that took is worth more than just not shaving your top lip and having a laugh for a month.
The old I donated to your marathon, can you donate to my month of not shaving is pretty insulting and that’s my point.
-
@MajorRage does it really matter what youve done to raise money?....the point is the money for a good cause isn't it?...or is it really just a competition, who tried harder?
-
@Kiwiwomble remember that time you walked across Oz to raise awareness and funds for your charity and I gave you fifty bucks?
Well, I’m going to limit myself to 2 beers a day this week for my charity, care to repay the favour?
-
@MajorRage ....if its going to charity, then yeah...ideally we woulnd't have to do anything...people would just give what they could to good causes
you really sound like you only do these things for the credit and now you're annoyed because you could have done less
-
@Kiwiwomble I’m sorry you think that. Couldn’t be further from the truth.
Edit. Actually I’m really angry with that comment. That’s fucking shit and nothing what I stand for in life. Nothing. The sort of grand standing behavior I can’t stand.
Won’t engage again.

I’m lazy. If its a choice between growing facial hair or running then that’s no choice at all.
Not entirely true, exercise is awesome except running.
Fuck running.

Fuck running.
Running is one of my 'happy places'. Fuck getting older and not being able to run as often as I want.

I do like the benefits of cardio vascular fitness but give me weights to do or a punching bag to hit any day of the week.

You could always run a marathon AND grow a moustache ? Maybe do a 40 hour famine and dry July at the same time.
That way you cover all bases.
