"Money" by Pink Floyd.
The 1st half of Dark Side of the Moon is epic - ending with Clare Torry's un-fucking -believable vocals. Only to then segway into the turd of a song that is "Money".
Banal, commercial crap.
Boom! Another one added to my list. Absolutely terrible song.

I’d argue ‘Wish you were here’ was their worst song by far
I'll treat this comment with the absolute disdain it deserves. Absolutely love this tune, easily in my top 10.
You’re just a lost soul
Swimming in a fish bowl
Year after year
Running over the same old ground -

Ruined by rugby
Why does loves do this to me -the exponents
Loyal-Dave Dobbyn
Hey baby-don't care
Terrible songs in general
Lips of an angel- Hinder. Hinder was the Pams version of Creed.
Angels-Robbie Williams , such a douche
American Idiot-Green day. I could have picked any of their songs , but this song and album of the same name are credited with reviving their career which makes it suck more.
Drops of jupiter -Train . Key lyric " checks out Mozart while she does taebo, reminds me that there's room to grow .
Bomb Track-Rage against the machine
Royals-Lorde. Annoying overrated ear worm of a song thats on pretty much every government departments playlist when they put you on hold.
Barbecue reggae. Fucking all of it from Fat freddies drop on up. Its inescapable in New Zealand now . I don't understand this country's fascination and I probably never will , Simon Sweetmans rants about this genre were spot on and have aged well especially when you consider this ones 11 years old.

I’m slightly triggered by Rage and Green Day being here as they have done some wonderful stuff too, the rest is spot on.
That is a terrific article, I’ve met Simon Sweetman a couple of times and he’s very soft spoken and polite in real life. On the whole I agree with his music rants though.
Six60 are the epitome of “safe, dreary, BBQ music while having your Pak n save sausages and sipping DB Export”. A relative of the girl had the temerity to request some over Xmas at our place and was met with a couple of words, second one being “off”.
It is a genre that New Zealand should be ashamed of.
Then again Dave Dobbyns solo stuff is pretty awful and everything associated with Jordan Luck is horrific too.

I find it hard to separate the music of Green day and Rage from the fuckwittedness of the band members.
Very cool you met NZs version of comic book guy, another reason to loathe stuff is that they sacked him after he gave Robbie Williams a bad review.
My reaction to being asked if I was going to see six60

You guys are gonna be really triggered by this then
What's with the bogus J'maican patois maaan.
I've heard her interviewed and her accent is Kiwi as, until she starts singing and then it's all Wah Gwaan.
This is also a thing with Aotearoa Roots. Some would call it cultural appropriation. Unless they're the ones doing it...

It’s not just Aotearoa roots I hate, it’s Rasta/reggae shit in general.
Could never stand Bob Marley.
I do however really like this song oddly enough.

I’m not clicking on that . But thanks for the heads up of yet another artist to avoid .
I’d throw Breaks Co op in there too, they are bbq reggae adjacent.

I was in cover bands at college and playing their stuff was always good fun and will have a special place in my heart.
I do however hate the later Green Day stuff, particularly the “Jesus in Suburbia” song that goes on forever.
It is a funny one though. Even a band I love like Gunners has songs that have been thrashed to the point of me not liking them ( November Rain, Sweet Child of Mine )……songs that were utter shit to start with ( Patience, Knocking on Heavens Door ) and thankfully lots of bangers I’ve heard a million times that are still awesome ( Paradise City, Rocket Queen, Mr Brownstone, You could be mine, Estranged etc )

Oh yeah. I forgot to add "Buffalo Soldiers" to my list.
Crap lyrics sung to a Boom-chicka, Boom-chicka, Boom-chicka, Boom-chicka, boom beat. Fucking dire.

I like a lot of dub music, reggae etc, but Bob Marley is the fucking worst song writer in history. Just cheesy garbage. Awful.

@Tim How can you say that about lkyrical genius like:
No, woman, no cry
No, woman, no cry
No, woman, no cry
No, woman, no crySeh, seh, seh I remember when we used to sit
In the government yard in Trenchtown
Oba observing the 'ypocrites
As they would mingle with the good people we meet
Good friends we have, oh, good friends we've lost
Along the way
In this great future, you can't forget your past
So dry your tears, I sehNo, woman, no cry
No, woman, no cry
'Ere, little darlin', don't shed no tears
No, woman, no crySaid, said, said, I remember when we used to sit
In the government yard in Trenchtown
And then Georgie would make the fire lights
As it was log wood burnin' through the night
Then we would cook cornmeal porridge
Of which I'll share with you
My feet is my only carriage
And so I've got to push on through
But while I'm goneEverything's gonna be all right
Everything's gonna be all right
Everything's gonna be all right
Everything's gonna be all right
Everything's gonna be all right
Everything's gonna be all right
Everything's gonna be all right
Everything's gonna be all rightSo woman, no cry
No, woman, no cry
Oh my little sister, don't shed no tears
No, woman, no cryI remember when we used to sit
In the government yard in Trenchtown
And then Georgie would make the fire lights
As it was log wood burnin' through the night
Then we would cook cornmeal porridge

No, woman, no cryLittle darling, don't shed no tears
No, woman, no cry
Little sister, don't shed no tears
No, woman, no cryTBF plenty of songwriters would fail an examination of their verse
