Wonder if Roberston decided he didn't want to be #2 to Hipkins or Sepoloni was seen as a more diverse choice...
That was an unusual one for me as he fills the overweight gay quota very nicely.

I certainly missed the NP news.
But would I hassle a town that starts its promo with "In Masterton every March, sheep shearing is hailed as an art form"?

Don’t even think about disparaging my place of birth . The annual school trip to see the Golden shears is a treasured childhood memory.

Julie Burchill at her acerbic best , fair to say she’s not a Branch Ardernian
Ever the polariser, Burchill is pulling no punches and certainly not sitting on any fences.
No doubt, this will be quoted as the "hate" she faced, as opposed to a serious critique of her failings.
True that kids living in cars is up 400%? Wow.

Burchill made a fool of herself last year ranting about Ash Sarkar and lost her defamation case over it. All the same that was an enjoyable read.
Yep , when she became pm there was 51 kids living in cars now the number is apparently 228 . Another 82 people live in tents . But they really taught those greedy landlords a lesson.

Labour is the government of unintended consequences

Yeah I remember that. Of all the lefties I don’t mind Sarkar. She argues her points / views and tends to keep it above board. The interview of her with Andrew Neil was a good listen.
The shriekers / haters / call everybody bigoted left could learn a lot from her.

Ever notice the people who talk about "hate" seem to be the same people who shrug their shoulders when the likes of Farage get death threats and call it "robust politics"?
True that kids living in cars is up 400%? Wow.
I've been catching up on things like serious crime, school absenteeism, homelessness and child poverty in NZ and am quite taken aback at what I'm seeing/reading has happened in the last few years.

Along with ditching 3 strikes Labour set a goal of lowering the prison population 30% so all kinds of scumbags are getting bail and home d when they wouldn't have 5 years
Meet Jayden Meyer
Jayden raped four girls [one on 2 separate occasions] for that he was given 9 months home detention. I'm guessing your first thought is the judge was a fuckwit, unfortunately it was actually the crown prosecutor who said they wouldn't be seeking a custodial sentence and went with home D . After public outcry the crown appealed the sentence but filed the paperwork too late and the sentence stands .
When Branch Ardernians whine about unprecedented online hate its hardly surprising that lots of people are furious about the state of the country they live in and want to vent at the person they feel is responsible.
Oh yeah as well as kids living in tents , cars and motels school attendance is an average pf 65%.

That's not a bad idea as there's a vast amount of evidence that prison just doesn't work. But from what you've said, it sounds like it wasn't thought thru - at all.
school attendance is an average pf 65%.
Yeah, read that. Really shocked me. Potentially huge generational problems being built up

The forum has always been 90% National party supporters. Probably because rugby’s heartland is traditionally from the rural conservative regions.

Prison might not work but it does keep us safe from criminals . The guy I work with was coward punched in the face at the end of 2021 and had to have his eye socket rebuilt.. It was 6 months before he could work a full week due to the nausea and headaches and the financial strain of the time off work cost him his relationship . The dickhead that punched him was given community service and ordered to pay $1000 in reparations that he's never seen a cent of.
I was talking to a cop last week and he said the only way criminals seem to not get pretty much automatically bailed is if its family violence which the courts do actually take seriously. No surprises that life member of the mongrel mob Harry Tam urges his gang to use their vote to keep National out

I'd say more nationals support is made up a lot of tradies and blue collar workers these days, they have very little in common with the current labour party.
