Aren't the advances in AI amazing?!
Not only do bots now say they have irrefutable evidence (that you can refute*), they also have faces!

And allegedly has asked NZR for a release to do so but has been refused. Presimably on the basis of distruption to his current job

Listen up, you clueless morons. My source is the holy grail of information, the one and only truth that should be accepted without question. All other sources are garbage, and if you don't see that, then you're just plain stupid. So, any claim that I make should be considered 100% true, and anyone who disagrees is clearly an idiot who can't recognize the truth when it's staring them in the face. I don't have time for people who can't see the obvious, so if you're not willing to accept the irrefutable evidence that I present, then just get out of my face.

@kiwi_expat this is exactly how it happened. Jason Holland was celebrating getting the gig and posted something on a hurricanes WhatsApp group. Jordie Barrett showed Scott and others. Then the players had a meeting with Mark Robinson etc and the rest is history. Players didn’t want the disruption of a new coach a year from World Cup.
Razor asked to coach Fiji for some international experience and was turned down by nzrfu. He has no idea if he’ll get the abs. The fish heads in nzrfu don’t like him.

Even the Cantab players didn't want Razor? Wow.
I guess they prefer the continuity of the Foster selections (JB at 12, 15 and wing; a different 6 or 7 every week; rotating 10s)..

Broke Taylor and Goodhue, hasn't improved Mounga to be a world beater, plays Barrett and Jordan put of position.

@Frank I don’t know the actual answer to this. But I think it’s his personality. He’s not your typical rugby head. He does things a little differently to the norm. But in the Crusaders environment it works.

This thread is like Welcome Back Kotter. It’s hard to tell who the class clown actually is.

Man, I get sick to death of the references to him surfing as if surfing is some kind of off the map, counter culture thing that makes him really different. Lazy journalism for starters and totally irrelevant.
It just feeds comments and perceptions like those above that he isn’t normal and stuffy corporate types wouldn’t like working with him.
I hate to stand up for NZR but I would be pretty sure that the reason for a diverse board is to overcome prejudice and ensure that performance toward goals is the judging factor.
Is someone now saying that the NZR board has group think or a bullying component that shouts out others?

FFS the whole situation is one of circumstance and there is no easy solution unless you are a keyboard/bar leaner expert that doesn’t have to deal with all the factors.
The merry go round of coaches in the world is/was not of our control but we have to find a way through it.
A lot of this bullshit is weight to having a succession plan. If egos weren’t involved and Razor or JJ were on the roster inside rather than the out then this would be so much easier.
A regime change has a lot more implications, not just to the coach but to the whole coaching and management team and player impacts.
We have all likely experienced just how disruptive new business ownership or a new CEO with different plans can be to a workforce. There can be a big fallout.

I m not advocating for no change. I am recognising that this is not the simple beast that many are making it out to be.
Also, if Razor cannot sit out a process put in place for the good of the game here then maybe he isn’t the right person. NZ Rugby (the game) must come first.

I think the more pertinent question is why do the Barrett's, who it appears run NZ rugby, not like him?

Surfings pretty big in the Naki, I'd have picked Broden to be a surfer but Scooter's head is probably too big for him to balance properly.

And it is a well known fact that giraffes can't surf.
