Back to the topic from last week, this probably explains a few things:
It really isn't hard. Good guys vs bad guys, cool characters, lots of action, positive and uplifting message, the end!

Fuck I miss living in China, and buying dodgy DVDs at one of the several dodgy stores within a 5 minute walk.
New pleasures everytime.- Occasionally - fucking weird subtitles, as per above
- More often - super fucking weird covers. Sometimes just dropping in any review found online, including the scathing ones.
- Very occasionally - for some reason - over-dubbing - back into English, of an original English dialogue - therefore, with TWO weird translations having had happened. (A-la "English As She Is Spoke")
- Finally realising about 10 minutes into The Chronicles Of Riddick - that it was a CAM - and that the confusingly inappropriate laughter during first action scene - was actually the theatre audience
- The tacking on of credits from any other movie - onto the CAM DVDs... watching a Bond, and then seeing Cuba Gooding Jr as the first name in the credit sequence. (Something called Snow Dogs was popular as a post-credits sequence.)

All the rebels crew seem to be back, only main problem I have is jamming more sith (at least 2 in that clip) etc into the same time period
But production value look good, fan service for those of us that watch rebels, ship battles, lightsaber battles…will watch

The cafe we’re having brunch in…the music they’re playing…Star Wars sound track…every kind of 10min you get the imperial March

Apparently only Star Trek fans are allowed to complain when something is shit. Considering how the E9 was universally panned, I'd say the vast majority of actual fans aren't happy that Rey will be back. Tbh Daisy Ridley probably isn't either but she desperately needs the work. What an absolute shit show. Sorry if that offends anyone.
Well it could turn out worse…..

John Boyega is an entitled fluffybunny and amazingly sounds like even more of a dickhead than the character he played which is quite an achievement. Throwing his toys and playing the race card cos he didn’t get the “arc” he wanted. Yeah you tell them John, Star Wars has constantly treated its “non white” stars like shit…..Temuera Morrison, Carl Weathers, Rosario Dawson, Samuel L Jackson, Donald Glover, Pedro Pascal, Diego Luna, Oscar Isaac……all the way back to Billy Dee Williams.
All as big or bigger stars than you and all ( I assume ) grateful to be part of this massive franchise.
Know your place and STFU John.

Tbf Flinn was a terribly underdeveloped character. So much potential there wasted. He may be a cøck but I don't blame him for being a tad pissed off. But it's clear some of the people getting gigs with SW haven't even watched it before. Some nonce in one of the upcoming series said that SW is patriarchical. Seriously? Leia, Padme, Mon Mothma, Rey, Jyn, Rose, Holdo, Lando-rooting droid, the multitude of strong female characters in Mando and BoB. What the actual F? Another said that you can't tell between good and evil in SW. What on earth is going on?

Perhaps but bringing race into it ?
Maybe he could have suggested at the time that running around shrieking “Rey” every five minutes wasn’t going to endear him to fans instead of bitching about it afterwards.
Star Wars fans online are bloody laughable with their bullshit though. Whilst I agree Rose was a terrible character the fact the actress got death threats and bullied off social media makes me pretty disgusted in the human race to be honest.
Looks like the Ashoka series has more strong female characters to bring in on top of the ones we already have !
Hopefully John saw the latest episode of Mando cos it definitely filled the “annoying overweight black female singer” demographic very effectively.

To get back to the actual show, and quality of the show, I find it weird how much hate this episode is getting (more refereeing to online in general as opposed to on the Fern). More because the series has always been an overarching arc with task of the week episodes. This one didn't seem any different to me, but then I don't hold S1 & S2 as sacrosanct as some fans do. It really was like most episodes, they flew to a planet, performed a task that involved some action, then got to their goal of meeting with the Mandos.

If you told me before I watched that Jack Black Black and ( I don’t even know her name ) would be in it chances are I would have hated it out of principle but it was still great fun. They played their rich dickhead parts quite well overall I thought.
I’m still struggling a bit as to what the whole point of this season is though to be honest despite how good it has been at times.

Yeah, I really enoyed it. As soon as I saw Lizzo I knew exactly what the online reaction would be.
I’d pref they didn’t do celebrity actors, but can ignore them enough to enjoy the rest.
Darksaber FTW for me, and kicking robots to find the broken ones was great.

For me, the Din story finished at the end of season 2. So the show seems to be transitioning to The Madalorians, plural.
I’m here for that too.

I’m hoping we get a few bounty hunter cameos, that would be nice.
I have a feeling Moff Gideon will make an appearance late in the piece and escape to be the main antagonist for someone else’s series.
