Carter Gordon has to be the Wallabies ten. He’s by far my favourite Aus player right now. Having a blinder in this game.

Sets up two tries for the Rebels in the first 15 mins.

What are your thoughts on Gordon? I’d take him over Quade Cooper for sure.

Lol Rebels have already made 233metres in the first 15 mins.

They remind me of the Reds of 2010. Playing at pace.

Passing and running game is quality. Loved the flat pass he threw last week for a try. Haven’t paid enough attention to his kicking from hand/game management to comment

Carter Gordon looks like the Wallaby 10 for the rest of the 2020s

I'd love to see this Wallabies backline in action with Gordon at 10 and then someone like Toole coming off the bench with his gas.

    1. White
    2. Gordon
    3. Koroibete
    4. Kerevi
    5. Ikitau
    6. Petaia
    7. Kellaway

@Canes4life I think Kellaway is a better winger than fullback.

Fullback is a question mark for Wallabies.

I feel the same about Wright aswell who's been playing fullback for the Brumbies. Jorgenson seems like a good option there but he's fairly young.

I feel like Kellaway is most natural fit out of all their experienced players. There is also Banks but he's playing overseas so it's hard to judge form.

Their next best backline probably looks like this:

    1. McDermott
    2. Cooper
    3. Toole
    4. Flook/Loketi
    5. Perese
    6. Vunivalu/Nawaqanitawase
    7. Wright/Banks/Jorgenson

Had a chat to Lachie Swinton in the junket during halftime. Dude is made out of concrete.

    Would not fuck with him

Surely Eddie Jones will go for Carter Gordon as his first choice five-eighth? The Wallabies will be a much greater threat with that change alone.

I'm trying to think of the best Wallabies team that they could put out for the WC and this looks pretty good. Definitely a team that can't be taken lightly if everyone is fit.

    1. Bell (currently injured)
    2. Fainga'a
    3. Tupou (currently injured)
    4. Swain
    5. Phillip
    6. Leota / Swinton (currently injured)
    7. Hooper (C) (He will be captain but I'm not sure whether he's actually the best 7 in Aus now)
    8. Valetini
    9. White
    10. Gordon
    11. Koroibete
    12. Kerevi
    13. Ikitau
    14. Petaia / Kellaway
    15. Kellaway / Banks

    Notable post match interactions:

Andrew Kellaway and Bob Dwyer. That's each end of the spectrum as far as my rugby history sits.
