The issue with running out a B or C team is that it then means 5 weeks between fixtures for the A's.

I know we have an extra outside back with the squad which means all our trainings are basically perfect in-game simulations, but you still run the risk of rust with that sort of break.

The A pack needs a 40 minute hit out. No benefit from further exposure.

@game_film we've got Namibia, Uruguay and Italy to play our B/C teams. And weeks between games. We need the A team humming to beat France. For me, that means playing as close to our A team against SA.

If Bell is out, I'd call Coltman. He was very good for Lyon during the last stages of Top 14.

So…the NZRU finally allows the ABs to pick overseas players and first dibs goes to Liam Coltman…in an instantly forgettable match before the main event.

Oh look I just saw a pig flying.

Nb: not having a go at you. But they are not going to choose an overseas player.

    He is in NZ now.

    yes there is risk, but

no way we can go in to that game against France with the top side having not played since July. The A side needs to get rolled out, and we deal with possible outcomes on Monday.

Yup I agree it's A team. Except, I'd start Roigard to give him more game time against a quality team. Smith can play 20 off the bench.

Yep agree with above 2 posts. Roigard could end up being point of difference for the ABs. Big upside.
Am going to this one. Been looking forward to it for ages.
Been doing a few reconnaisance missions to London last few months for rugby viewing pubs and WC.
Famous 3 Kings Fulham and The Pavillion End St Pauls look good.

So Frizell and BBBR crooked. Starting pack EDG/CT/TL/SB/SW/SC/Finau/AS.

Bench interesting. I’m assuming Ofa, Sami and Nepo as front rankers. Logic suggests Vaa’i to cover lock. But how about Lord as well and 6-2 split? Jacobson makes up forwards. A half back and ALB to cover all else?

@pakman I know we're short, but that probably doesn't necessitate swapping Cane and Finau.

Taking my eldest (9) to this and really looking forward to it.

Been trying to keep an eye out for any AB public facing sessions but haven't spotted any.

He mainly wants to meet a Barrett brother 😁
