    @Catogrande

    Some pretty tenuous Mancunians too.

    CSNY, The Monkees, Thin Lizzy, Nico.

    They are making too much of Geoff Downes' influence in Asia. Wetton and Howe are equally, if not, more important.

    @MN5 Started working my way through the Starship Troopers series a month or so ago... gave up when it turned into cartoon.
    And STILL need to read the original novel.
    Tit-watch: good. Then awesome. From memory.

    @Kruse

    Revisiting the original reviews is baffling. Many critics didn't even understand it was satire - was it not enough for them when Doogie Howser showed up in a gestapo uniform, or at the end when the troops joining up are about 12 years old?

    Maybe the best description was that it was "the movie that society would make about itself".

    @Tim Yeah... I've never gone reading the original reviews. I assume it would be fun...
    It's just fun watching the sequels, and trying to figure out... are you just oblivious? Do you have any idea about the satire? Or... a mixture? Or... just... a combo, money-grabbing no matter what.

    Yep…….surely one of the worst sequels in relation to the first movies ever.

    The guns looked so shit.

    @MN5 it so stark because i think the CGI etc for the original was actually pretty good for the time and ;evel of movie, ie no real super stars

    The Dirt.

    Motley Crue biopic. It's a great watch, goes pretty much so as you'd expect, the day in the life part of Tommy Lee is hilarious.

    Titwatch: Loads

    5 heroin doses out of 5 grumpy old Mick Mars

    Fury

    War epic with Brad Pitt as the boss of a tank. I found it fascinating, and it's always interesting to see another view of day to day life in the wars. Pretty predictable on the whole, but a decent war movie.

    4 bad shots out of 5 good shots.

    Was this a movie? I thought it was a TV show.

    I’m pretty sure I’ve seen it but now I’m questioning myself. 🤣

    You're getting confused with the Pam & Tommy show mate. Easy mistake to make.

    You're welcome.

    Nope, I know that's a show, thought The Dirt was too. I blame streamers. 😉

    Are you sure? IIRC they all came from the tank museum in Dorset.
