Perhaps wikipedia is wrong - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Tank_Museum#Film
Also https://www.livescience.com/48245-fury-film-ww2-tiger-tank.html
Definitely not in Cairns: https://tankmuseum.org/article/the-enduring-appeal-of-tiger-131
-
the one in Cairns is a replica of Tiger 131 made for the movie
"In 2016, the museum workshop undertook construction of a Tiger 1 replica. This utilised a highly accurate, partially constructed Tiger 1 that was originally constructed for the movie Fury, which in itself was an accurate replica of Tiger 131."
so there is one thread thats not allowed to have unverified statements apparently
-
yeah, you missed the word "replica" built for the movie
Though social media tells me they have built a Tiger, and now i need to go see that

Made for the movie two years after the movie was released..?

jesus, it says it right there in the quote, it may have been finished in 2016 it was finishing off a partially constructed one from the movie...this truly is arguing over semantics even for the fern

Bitch please. Most people can recognise the difference between "this tank was partially constructed of parts used in a movie" from "this is a replica tank used in the movie".

Quite a bit. I'm waiting on a parcel to turn up and productivity is halted in the meanwhile. Amuse me further fluffybunnies to pass the time.

yep...started a longer reply but think this covers it, getting so worked up about a trivial comment on the movie thread of a rugby forum....wow

The courier has probably already been and gone and just left one of those cards.
This country’s post/package system is fucking broken.
Hmm, many I should be posting this in the Grumpy Old Man thread. 🤣

@Nepia www.google.com can be helpful here.
Clue to what I watched is in the thread title …
Sheesh, I wasn't calling you out claiming otherwise ... I just remembered it as a mini series in my head.

Retribution
The most recent Liam Neeson embarrassment
So fucking tiresome.- Off the bat - the protagonist is introduced as being a jerk
- His kids - fucking tiresome irritating brats
- Wife: tiresome shrew
- Antagonist enters the scene - tiresome and idiotic
- Example victim 1 - tiresome prick, example victim 2 - shrieking beeatch
- Cop - witless
- Conversations between protagonist and cop - contortionist dialogue to avoid the simple "I'm not the bad guy, and here's how we can prove it" discussion
- "Twist" - expected
- Ending - fucking dumb. Tiresome dumb. I think, I was struggling to pay attention at that point.
- Nod from cop to protagonist at the end - fuck off. ZERO reason for her to have changed her mind since the last conversation
Just... tiresome. A constant beatdown on the senses.
1.5 easily defused bombs out of 5 easily defused misunderstandings.
TIred. -

@Kruse gots to be bad if you dont even give a TW rating, although being Neeson, I expect zero anyway.
Neeson does have along way to go to reach Eric Roberts status as a movie legend/slut.
He never will though cos unlike Roberts Neeson at least USED to be great.
Eric Roberts found his niche from day one and stuck to it.
-
I guess I'm an oddity in that I genuinely don't mind most of the Neeson films. They're not great, but they're watchable and I'm generally never bored with them. Of course afterwards they've all blended into one.
I think the Stath is similar too, most of his films are not great but watchable and afterwards they all blend into one.

Shit - yeah... it was so bad, I forgot about tits.
WTAF Neeson? How dare you? -
To Live and Die in L.A.
Friedkin obviously watched Miami Vice and thought it was time to redo The French Connection.
A clear period piece from the 80s, down to the ridiculous script, hammy acting and shit electronic music.
TW; some but nothing spectacular.
Will not watch again.
