Von Berg just a local saffer walking past Seddon Park during warm-up?

Can you just save your comments for when Australia are here ?

    Cheers.

Nah. Every Aussie thread ends up a Kiwi thread. I'm taking this one back.

You're struggling to put away South Africa C. No doubt you plucky little bastards will stand up when the main event arrives of course.

    Kane in at three.

    No Young or Ravindra.

    Predictions?

I'll pick a NZ win. The next 120 runs will be tough, then the SA bowlers feel the pressure when the target gets under 100

That's generous odds for SA given how wickets have fallen in batches in this game. Kane will have to bat through and then the middle order have to actually not fold this time.

    @KiwiPie

It didn't come in that much after the wicket either: 1.24 v 3.25 now

The way they are batting they are just letting the SA bowlers dictate and look far better than they actually are. No need for stupid risks but they need to be playing far more positive.

Playing cricket vs sight screen issues. One of cricket's greatest rivalries.

Must admit when Bedingham reached his ton yesterday and the camera showed someone applauding, I thought it was his dad - but it was actually von Berg

Nice partnership from Kane and Ravindra, after the early loss of Latham.

    107/2 at lunch.

160 more needed, 8 wickets in hand.

Advantage BC’s, but if a couple of quick wickets fall after lunch that will change quickly.

All depends on KW as usual.

Ravindra is sounding less than convincing but he’s hanging in there.

That session is another points decision for us. I think we need these two to add about another 50 runs before I'll start to feel any kind of comfort, but we're inching ahead of them.

I think 'par' for the next session is about 180/3. If we're much behind that South Africa have edged ahead of us. If we're much beyond that then the session is as close to a knock out as a single session can be.

@MN5 batters are convincing themselves the conditions are harder and bowing is better than it actually is,, far to defensive for my liking

That wicket was born purely out of the previous continuous negative batting

@Stag I think you’re right, but it hasn’t been the easiest wicket to bat on. Ball seems to be holding up a bit in the pitch.

Anyone who’s tried to up the scoring rate has got themselves out.

    Quote from cricinfo…..

"He is the sword in the darkness, the watcher on the walls. He is the fire that burns against the cold, the light that brings the dawn, the horn that wakes the sleepers, the bat that guards the realms of men. He is Kane Williamson, and he is the key to the Black Caps winning this test."

The tension of a tight 4th innings chase is insane. Nothing else quite like it in sport. I hate it and I love it at the same time.
